"We have had Ferellgas for over 20 years. Great reliable service. No issues."
"Can't say i'm impressed. was told 2.5 hours ago they'd be here within an hour. they've already been out here twice now to fix some sort of leak, yet the gas is still draining at a pretty rapid rate and you can smell the propane out there all the time. no credit given, even though it's their tank we're paying to rent. years ago we never had this problem. now they don't seem to care. it works for them to get to charge us for the extra tank fills i guess. i wouldn't recommend them to anyone."
"Very reliable service in the past when I've talked to a live person. Seems the phone duties have now passed to the bot/virtual assistant though which is frustrating. I had two simple questions before I proceeded with my next order, but there are no options to ask questions with the bot. Also, estimated delivery times offered are very vague: "we aim to deliver in the 7 days"--what does that mean?"
"Ours was an unusual situation. As a new customer we bought two 120 gal. propane tanks 1/2022 as part of a new system. As ignorant homeowners, we did not know that the tanks are normally delivered with only a small amount of propane in each tank, about 10 gallons and this is for testing to make sure all appliances are hooked up and working. We assumed that when you bought tanks, they filled them and billed you. We had set up autopay and neither the contractor nor Ferrell informed us that we needed to place a fill order. Months go by, construction is completed and we move in, we have guests and are using the house. My husband goes out to look at the tanks in early July and they are registering empty. We call and are given a 2-week dely span but after several days of sparingly using propane I call again 7/18 and am told it could be 7/27 or do I want to pay an expedite fee of $100 - $200 for early dely? We decide, no, we will pack up and go to our other home but call one more time 7/19 and are told they delivered that morning at 7:30AM, which we didn't hear. It felt like poor communication and like this was not 100% our fault; fault should have been shared on this and the expedite fee reduced or waved for a new customer. We appreciate them getting to us sooner though, but felt like this could have been avoided. We would have been happy to pay to fill if we knew we needed to. Obviously, we should have looked sooner and that is on us but we thought we were starting with two 120 gallon tanks full. Live and learn. We are not mad; it worked out and we learned something."
"For many years Ferrell Gas reliably kept our propane tank filled. However, last fall of 2020 they failed to deliver on time and we were running on fumes by the time they filled the tank, weeks late. This month they failed to deliver on time and our tank went empty. You should not depend on them to deliver on time. Check your tank weekly and call to ask for a delivery well before it reaches 10%. Update. In fairness I have to report that Ferrell Gas responded quickly to my situation and, better, installed a monitor that informs them of when my propane supply is low. While these episodes should not have happened, Ferrell Gas did repair the recent situation the next day, which is the sort of thing one wants to have happen."
