"I scheduled for my women’s wellness visit, supposed to be fully covered by Medicare. The dr seemed knowledgeable and pragmatic, but stated she didn’t have time to do the pelvic exam, and that I need to make another appointment. As she had just let me know she was short on time, I felt rushed. When I see the EOB from my insurance, I am being charged for a specialist visit co-pay. It seems drs telling patients they don’t have time for the actual exam, and the patient now needs to schedule another visit, is a deceptive strategy for the practice to make more money."

"I've just finished up my care for my second child (pregnancy, birth, and postpartum) and have been under the care of two OB doctors prior. I had to transfer care two months before birth to Dr. Jewett because of a move. It was a nerve wracking experience to find a provider I felt like I could trust with not just the care leading up to my birth, but someone I felt comfortable performing a c-section as well. Dr. Jewett was honest, intelligent, gentle, and factual with the care all the way through. She was super easy to talk to and she took the time to answer any questions I had thoroughly. During surgery, she was quick and comforting. After surgery and my incision healed, you can barely see one is even there! She took a previous scar and made it practically disappear. The whole process from start to finish was amazing. She had my mind put at ease the entire way through. I would definitely recommend her to any mom-to-be, whether they are a first time mother who needs a little more reassurance or a seasoned mother who needs encouragement. Dr. Jewett is by far the best OB I've had. I appreciated her consistency, cheeriness, and helpful bedside manner, as well as all the experience she clearly brings to the table. She took what should have been a very scary experience and made it as smooth as it could possible go."

"My wife at first saw Dr. Jewett about 2 years ago, and she seemed at first to be caring and competent. We had continued to see her for issues related to endometriosis, while my wife had insurance. Dr Jewett performed a procedure to remove the endo and it did help at first. But since my wife lost her insurance, we have not been able to come to the office for visits as much. My wife had called a few times for advice from a nurse or the doctor, and we were planning to pay out of pocket to come into the office. But then we just found out that Dr Jewett had dismissed my wife because she called too many times. Really? Where was it stated that there was a limit on how many times you can call? No one said "Hey, you need to call less or Dr Jewett will toss you to the curb." Well that is precisely what just happened. My wife and I already had lost faith in this broken medical system, and Dr Jewett added one more nail to that coffin. We thought, mistakenly, that she was different. We thought that she cared, but apparently all she cares about is the bottom line, the good old dollar bill. She may be a competent surgeon, but otherwise I'm very unimpressed and extraordinarily disappointed. She dismissed my wife for no valid reason. We spoke to the office manager and she didn't care either. Bottom line, if you want a clinic that doesn't give a damn, come to Women's Care and ask for Dr Jewett."
