Reviews
"The team at Nest is fantastic. They are very knowledgable and experienced but still such wonderful listeners. They made my wife and I feel so confident, comfortable and ready for our second baby. Some of the best money I've ever spent. I can't recommend them enough."
"Laurie and Melissa far exceeded our expectations for midwifery services (and we are tough critics). They make a perfect team straddling the Vancouver and Portland metro areas. After interviewing several midwives, we knew hiring them was the best choice for us. Having two was so convenient and reassuring through both a miscarriage and our first childbirth. They are always available, knowledgeable, and experienced. Best of all they have very complimentary attitudes and energies. They are just the right amount of flexibility and firmness. Our time with them was always satisfying, encouraging, and informative. They catered so well to both of our (very different) parent-to-be needs. We will surely hire them again for any and all future pregnancies. Thank you so much, Nest Midwifery!"
"Melissa and Laurie give guidance, love, support, and thoughtful medical attention throughout. My pregnancy, birth and postpartum felt safe. I never felt pushed - instead I felt educated and supported to make the right decision for myself, my child, and my family. I am a raving fan of Nest Midwifery."
"First time mom and first home birth experience: I knew from our first consultation with Kim and Laurie that they would be the ones to help us through our first delivery and first home birth. They are kind and warm and very knowledgeable. Given that this was our first baby, we had SO any questions and they walked us through everything, hand in hand. My husband and I felt so at ease in their care! Their service goes above and beyond and by the end of our time together they truly felt like family. I couldn't recommend them enough! From my husband: As exciting as childbirth can be, they kept completely calm and made me feel calm through the whole delivery. Not once did I ever feel anxious or worried because I knew we were in good hands. I had a really enjoyable experience helping my wife through delivery because of their steady presence and guidance through it all."
"I delivered two boys with Kim and Laurie and I had a great experience. They are both caring and knowledgeable and they were able to guide me through my pregnancies and deliveries in a gentle and empowering manner. Home birth is not for everyone, but it was perfect for our family. Our first boy was born through a c-section and that made the VBAC delivery of our second boy very stressful because at the hospital I was considered a high risk mother. When we got pregnant with our third boy, I could not even think about giving birth at the hospital without panicking. So, I made a decision to give birth at home. Giving birth at home allowed me to labor stress free under careful supervision of excellent midwives. Because of Kim's and Laurie's care and guidance, I felt completely in control of my body especially when I delivered our fourth boy."
