"Just a fantastic place, and the staff were great."
"Just do the world a favor, and send your children here! You'll appreciate it, and so will your offspring. I went here as a camper, and also as a counselor. Now, both of my kids have had the opportunity to go here, and well, hopefully future generations of my family as well! I honestly don't know of a better camp on the west coast than this place. Seriously, if you're reading this to get a feel, just go ahead and sign up! You won't regret it one bit! Also has the nicest beach in my opinion in Oregon just for the kids! SIGN THEM UP!!!"
"Most beautiful and serene location. The undeveloped natural setting allows one to experience the undiluted power of nature where land and river meet the sea. This place must be preserved and protected."
"I have been going to camp westwind for four year. And can confidently say it’s my favorite place in the world. The people are so kind and I have never been lonely. The counselors are like friends, always supportive and always there for you. I love ever part of westwind, from the beach to the rustic cabins. Being at westwind even for a week make me so happy. I love the activities and outdoor walls/ hikes. And the food is very good. I will be going to westwind for as long as I can, and would 100% recommend."
"this is my second home. i’ve been going to camp westwind since i was three-years-old i’m turning 14 in september. i’ve always had so much fun even if i’m doing more or less the same activity’s. the staff are amazing and so fun to be around, and the baby sitters as well. the cabins are rustic, with no insulation, but i’ve never been cold. the food you’d expect to be not very good but the foods actually amazing i’m my opinion. the beach, estuary, and forest are beautiful. on the beach you can go tide pooling, play elimination, or just chill out in the sand. i’m the estuary you can stand up paddle board, swim, kayak, clam(you don’t eat or hurt them just for fun), mud muck, canoe, or chill on these weird plastic water float things i don’t know how to spell them. anyway i love camp westwind with all my heart and we’re all so sad that covid mad it not possible to have camp. can’t wait the still be there though!"
