"It says online that they open at 11am on Saturdays, i get there and the little sign on the door says 12pm i stood there and waited for 30 minutes in the freezing cold rain waiting for them to open and both employees in said store looked at me and ignored me, then when i was finally let in i was told that my xbox one x with a perfectly working controller despite the fact that there was no rubber on the thumb sticks would be marked as “defective” and i would only get $80 in store cred or $50 cash, next when i was trying to explain to the employee that was helping me the other stepped in and interrupted me with quite the attitude for no reason as i was try to explain what i was told on the phone last night when i called on my lunch while at work. You should really consider getting nicer and friendlier employees and change the hours online to the real hours. Worst game stop i have been to and worst game stop experience i have ever had by far. I watched so many customers go to the door and leave cuz they weren’t open yet. RUN TO A DIFFERENT GAME STOP EVERYONE"
"First off, if you are thinking about shopping at the Oregon City Gamestop, turn around and run. Go to Wilsonville, they are friendly and professional. My son and I experienced the rudest, most unprofessional customer service at the Oregon City Gamestop. Long story short, i was sold a PS5 refurbished Controller, was told by the employee that if there was ANY issues at all it could be returned after Christmas with the receipt that she stapled onto the package. The controller is in fact defective, my son attempted to exchange it as instructed and was told that b/c a warranty was not purchased (on a 39.99 refurbished product) and b/c it had been over 7 days it could not be exchanged. The controller in question was purchased along w/ a brand new PS5 on 12/10/23 as a Christmas gift. Again, I was assured that it could be exchanged after Christmas if there was any issues at all. **A warranty was NOT offered at the time of purchase. After they refused to exchange the controller for my son I called the store and instantly met resistance from a female employee. Her responses were extremely rude and she clearly gave the sense that she cared nothing about the customers experience. **Her response: "We have seasonal people that work here and they don't know about the rules." I said the lack of knowledge of their employees is not my problem, i was expecting the information i was given to be honored. She clearly said that would not happen and it didn't matter what i was told. **She then said the reason the controller could not be exchanged is because i had purchased it over 31 days ago. 12/10/23 (purchased date) to 1/2/24 does not equal 31 days obviously and when i pointed this out to her the response was, "I don't know what you expect me to do, you will just have to buy another one." When i responded to this very rude and disrespectful comment the call was disconnected. **I called back multiple times and their business phone was not answered. When i called from another phone it was answered but quickly I was put on hold indefinitely after discovering she was talking to me again. She did this twice. I attempted one more call for good measure and then called the 800 Customer Service number and requested a call back. I then called the Wilsonville Store and spoke with a very nice gentleman who strongly disagreed w/ the information i was given by the Oregon City employee and offered to do the replacement for us and offered several apologies for the horrible treatment we received. ***of note, I highly suggest taking your business to the Wilsonville store. Customer service called right back, i reported the whole situation to them and they were quite appalled at the behavior of the Oregon City Gamestop employee. I was reassured that this issue would be addressed and I would receive a call back w/ the resolution of this horrible experience. I was also encouraged to complete the exchange at the other store. I can see that i am not the only one that has been treated rudely by this store's employee(s). The customer service rep acknowledged the other negative reviews coming out of this location and assured me they do not support this type of customer service."
"Not sure why I expected my experience to be different than the reviews I read, but I had only JUST opened the door at 4pm and the employee yelled at me. As I was only just getting through the door, I asked her to repeat herself and she asked me to leave- with a store full of people- it was lunchtime. So not being staffed means people there have to close the store, basically whenever, to get a break. Go somewhere else. We certainly are."
"Sold me a broken controller. I took it back within the hour & then got attitude for not buying their warranty, pretty sure if you sold me a broken controller & I take it back shouldn't matter if I bought the warranty or not. Not my fault it's broke"
"sold 2 xbox one s’s for 50 bucks each but they sell them for 200 ? (used) makes absolutely no sense to me at all also there hours are ridiculous? open at 10 but nobody is there, biggest issue is the price they gave me for a console there selling for 4x more and buying for half of the avg price for example can buy almost any NEW xbox one s for 100-150 so there buying gaming systems for hslf the price then selling then for double the avg proce there sold at technically they mark it up 4xs with the price THEY buy it at game stop genuinely cares about itself and itself only i literally sold a xbox 360 and geeks and games for 60 dollars i even sold the same console the xbox one s but i only tradded in one of them to game wizards and they gave me 100 FOR ONE not two"
