"This program has been such a life saver for us. We would never be able to do all the things we needed to do or take time off for family emergencies without missing work. The teacher care greatly for their students. They are always talking about how they can help their students more. My son was in brick and mortar before we started connections and once we switched, he became my happy little boy that he use to be before starting. We have gone on so many field trips all over the state with this school and love seeing my kids having fun with their classmates. Cant wait for the field trips next year."

"I love this school for many reasons. My twin grandsons have just completed their third year at Willamette Connections Academy. They have had the nicest, most compassionate, and helpful teachers for all three years. An example of something I like about the two live lessons a day ( one for math and one for language arts) is that the teacher does hands on teaching and she can actually see your child's work on each problem she has them doing in real time, and she knows if he/she is understanding the concepts or not. She can see every students work on a big screen and makes positive comments on the student's work, never degrading or pointing out the name of someone not understanding the concept, since only the teach can see the screen. The teachers have small math groups for students having difficulty and office hours for one on one help with any subject. Most offer study guides that your student can fill out as they study each lesson in science and social studies and it makes it very easy to study for tests. There were many opportunities for the students to interact at the beginning and end of each live lesson, in Fridays "lunch bunch" meeting with students and teachers and on virtual and in person field trips. My husband is a retired English teacher and has been very impressed with the curriculum in general."

"I have a 1st grader and a 4th grader. Don't listen to all the one star reviews (they probably don't know how to work a computer). The admin helped me everyday to make sure my enrollment process went smoothly. This was my first year with them and I had transition from another online school and this one is my favorite by far. The classes are done online and you have to have an adobe account to use adobe connect. I've heard that some teachers use zoom though. The teachers are the best my kids have had. They're kind and they stay after class to help anyone with homework and they even add extra time out of class for tutoring. The curriculum is amazing. My 4th grade had learned the fundamentals of physics and basic biology. She even learned a lot about Native American history and did a report about them. They give you extra material in case your student needs more practice in an area so you can use. The homework is a bit heavy at first but it gets lighter mid way through the year. She never got behind and she also did extra stuff out of class like gymnastics, swim, soccer and football. There is time you just have to be organized in the beginning of the year (and look at their assignments at least the day before they look at them so you know what to do). The field trips were fun as well. My kids got to meet their classmates at parks and aquariums. I do wish they had a bit more field trips though. This is going to be my kids school until they choose otherwise."
