Rivermark Community Credit Union

"Not directly Rivermarks issue, but I'm pretty upset over their ATM machine. I'm a co-op "member" through Navy Fed and the only way I can deposit cash to my account is through other local CU's. I deposited $600 cash and their ATM malfunctioned and the deposit didn't go through. I had to open an investigation with my Credit Union. Hopefully I get my deposit, because that's a ton of money to just lose out on! Update: I ended up getting my money and great tip. Thanks!"

"The people that work here are very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the ATM gave me an error while deposting 200 dollars, and it didn't give me my money back. Like I said the people inside were very helpful with the situation and said I'd get a letter in 10 business days, potentially giving me credit for my lost money. Once the letter arrived it informed me that they could not give me credit for it. So although I've been banking here for 5 years and never had an issue, losing 200 dollars just for using their ATM has left a very poor impression."

"I have had great experiences here over the years. I am ready to pull most of my money from our bank due to the banking collapses which I believe will get worse. For some reason I feel like credit unions may be safer---especially since Rivermark is local---just in Oregon and Vancouver, WA. There are other reasons I feel like credit unions may be safer but I don't want to go into that. The FDIC, which covers bank accounts up to 250k can only cover so many accounts and then they too will run out of money if the collapses get worse. I am hopeing to GOD that Rivermark doesn't collapse. I don't think they will."
