"I went here as a kid. It was 5th grade. I was demonized, treated like I was lesser by both staff AND student. The faculty turned their heads while kids terrorized me on the playground. And got me in trouble when I defended myself. The principal looked for every opportunity to get me in trouble, as did my teacher Mr.Grimes. I was nothing but miserable for all of 5th grade because the staff treated me poorly due to me needing a little more help than most."

"Chehalem elementary is one of the worst schools I have been to. Yeah, being called stupid and all that isn't really big deal now, but for an 8 year old it was a like a poison in my head and as a teacher you would think that they would try to stop the bullying not just say "girls will be girls", That school made me hate learning which i used to love with a passion pretty much hate everything i loved to do at home or as a hobby that i was doing there because in my mind it was associated with being put down again, a SCHOOL that is suppose to teach kids and or make them want to learn made a student hate it."

"I started 1st Grade the very day Chehalem opened brand spanking new. I went all the way through and finished 6th grade there. It was a treat to be in a brand new school having just moved to Beaverton from Ann Arbor, MI. The Principal's name was Mr. Winthers. My 1st Grade teacher was Mrs. Aleta Parker. The music teachers were Mr. Perry and Mrs. Harris. P.E. was Mr. Smith. The librarian was Mrs. Rumpf. Bonus feature...my house was right next to the school. Great playground and place for growing up. I lived in the Four Seasons neighborhood. Chehalem is coming up on it's 50th Anniversary. Maybe there should be a gathering?"

"I am in 5 grade and so far it is REALLY awesome,cool,funny friends,friendship,nice kids and staff I am now going to middle school i am going to miss all my great Teachers i had!!"
