Reviews of Camp R&R
"It is no fun here anymore. It got confusing enough with team problems but now they have had a dapper squad that some guy with a black beard pouts about getting shot and throw a grenade between our team while talking ro the refs. Please bring back the 2 team games I will not be returning until then."
"Absolutely awesome! Being new to airsoft I was super excited to get to learn! There were many experienced players to learn from and follow, admins were very present and made sure players were having fun by helping push players from their spawn and balancing teams as well. everyone had a great attitude and sense of humor. also got to see a guy hit a quick scope with his sniper while under fire running backwards, he must’ve dodged 80 bbs before he took the shot, lol I was watching for just a single bb to hit him, nothing."
"Absolutely loved this location. I’ve recently gotten back into airsoft and was most excited to try out this place. It’s a shame they only host open events once a month but hey I’ll take what I can get. It’s a little tricky to find if you’re not paying attention to the directions they have on their website, but that’s more my fault than there’s. The staff itself is friendly and knowledgeable about the sport. The game mode we played was well explained and well organized. They aren’t near as restrictive when it comes to your weapon and ammo as other places, which allows for a much wider variety of weapons being brought to the field which is fun to see. The field itself is a long rectanglish shape before the edge of the Tillamook forest, and has a very natural feel to it. A couple of main roads and dirt trails make for good highly trafficked areas but player are not limited to those so don’t be afraid to get dirty!! The main area of play is unique and offers a plethora of sight lines and choke points which makes the game interesting and fun. The other “landmark” locations are a bit less than ideal, basically the bare minimum for a landmark (a blue barrel and tarp at one spot), but I will say it does help to orient you of where you are (sign posts with location markers would be awesome!) it is inviting to all forms of players, be it run and fun, sniping from a distance, sleuth with pistol, or on the outskirts, all form of play were a viable strategy of play. The game mode that we played was simple enough, but was a very fun overall experience. Highly recommend this field on two conditions, one for allergies definitely bring medication or take it before (your in a forest/meadow!) and two, bring food! The options for food amount to snack soda, and top ramen, I’m glad they offer something but I’d definitely recommend bringing lunch with you! All in all great spot! I definitely will be coming here more frequently!"
"I love Camp R&R, so much. The people are super friendly and the admins try to make sure everything is fair, even for newbies. The community of people is super great, no jerks. 10/10 would recommend for anyone new as they also rent weapons on site. Both primary admins are super chill and if told theirs a newbie, they will try to fix the team's so you get a good play experience."
"Been playing here for years. It's been amazing to see them grow. They offer food, basic supplies, and usually have a rental business on site for their monthly games so that new people can try it out. The Eyres are super friendly and accommodating. The field is largely flat, with enough berms and vegetation to provide plenty of cover. The field features a mock village, a mock airstrip, and several bunkers as well."
