The Lenox Apartments

"TLDR: if you can avoid living here, I strongly suggest you do so. The lies, mismanagement, lack of amenities, and general frustration you will endure is not worth the cheaper price. I lived at the Lenox for 2 years with various problems including animal waste on the stairways and landing, a maintenance worker attempting to enter my apartment at 6 am when no work order was placed, and trash hanging from the second floor balconies over the public sidewalk. Despite, that, I was willing to re-sign for a third year (and had done so) but my contract was illegally terminated. It cited 3 noise complaints that were all supposedly filed in the same week, but I never received any notice of the complaints nor any warning that lease termination could occur. When I sent an email, I was met with an explanation that lacked real evidence (given I had never received a noise complaint in my 2 years of living there). When I pointed out that Oregon state law required them to give me a warning which they did not do, Autumn (the property manager at the time) admitted over email that their office did not do the proper follow through and make me aware of the complaints. The story pretty much ends with them retracting the letter of termination after I threatened to procure a lawyer. I moved out. They sent a letter telling me I would receive my deposit - then never sent it. Par the course I suppose. The pictures below are just of the pictures that I took over my time living here."

"In my 2.5 years living in Portland, autumn was my apartment manager for 2 of those. She is so kind, and patient and happy to help! She really does go above and beyond for the residents which makes this complex a really comfortable one. If I was still in Portland, I’d still live at the Lenox. As for the apartment, when we first started out I felt the maintenance team was a bit snarky and rude based off a particular phone call I got about a repair. However, I only had one interaction with that person , so don’t know if they’re there anymore. Maintenance responded properly and always followed my instructions on which doors to leave closed upon leaving (I have a nosy cat). The apartment had lots of natural light and was pretty quiet, and the grounds were kept up. Would recommend this complex to anyone."

"The Lenox is such a peaceful place to live, the leasing manager goes above and beyond for the residents and I always have a good interaction with anyone employed here!"

"This place is an absolute nightmare. The manager changed about 15 times while I lived there. I lived in this place for approximately three years, and it was hell. I finally closed on a house, and was able to escape. DO NOT RENT HERE. Some of the things I experienced while living there. 1) 0 support about loud neighbors, or people camping outside the entrance of the building. 2) fire alarms going off on a regular basis, and in the middle of the night. 3) trash all over the grounds, and people camping out. 4) graffiti not being removed. 5) building got broken into, and ALL locks needed to be changed on every apartment. There was no communication, and the manager quit after it happened. This is not somewhere you want to call home. Keep looking."
