Reviews of Mount Angel Abbey Museum
"Interesting collection of cultural and natural history artifacts from all over the world."
"Phenomenal collection from the past. Great place to see historical items and taxidermy work from yesteryear. Tastefully displayed with respect to different cultures. Great place to take children to see craftsmanship and creatures preserved for awe inspiring education."
"A small museum, filled mostly with stuffed wild animals but also contains some interesting historical collections. Nicely arranged and well curated, this museum is at the bottom back side pre the abbey, you will have to walk past the guest house to reach it. We went on a weekend but there was no wait time and so we got the tour of the museum done in about 30 minutes."
"This museum is a gravesite to hundred of animals that were poached. Bald eagles, polar bears, owls, a giant sea turtle, etc. All of these animals were killed so that a collector could sell them off to the church and put them on display in a weird deceptive museum. This museum symbolizes the power and control of the Catholic institutions. (Fact: The Catholic Church is the largest land owner in the world) This museum also has one of the largest collections of native artifacts in the state of Oregon. As well as having other deceptive items on display that symbolize power and control. I was hoping to find information in this museum about the history of this location. There was hardly any information about the history at all. The sisters of Saint Mary in Beaverton, formally known as the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, were transferred to this location back in the day. I highly suggest you look this up and see the truth for yourself. These institutions have a dark side that are tied to secret societies. The day I was here they were having a very large benefit dinner party with plenty of booze, money, and drunks. The church even had three police officers working on the grounds during the event. The church brings in so much money every year that it is hard to fathom. My visit to this museum was a major disappointment. Go see this for yourself and question everything."
