Reviews of Anchor NW Property Group
"Avoid this property management. The buildings are cheaply constructed with cheap materials. They don't answer the phones or call you back. Elevator is frequently broken. Just a very challenging company to deal with, for ANY issue. And yes, Jill is awful (see below)"
"Would recommend avoiding this company. As a resident of Buckman Court, the units themselves are fine, relatively new and clean. Location is great. However management and their communication has left something to be desired. I have had issues with noisy pipes since moving in which, while I'm not an expert, seem consistent with a water hammer issue that they have yet to actually have a plumber address despite 3 maintenance requests. I am currently using a deadbolt as a door handle after my electronic lock stopped working, which I don't mind in the short term. However I was told that the locks would be replaced in ~3 weeks, and 3 months later I am still using a deadbolt as a door handle without any update. I have also on many occasions come home to maintenance vehicles taking up spots in the parking lot, and not being able to find a spot despite paying for monthly parking. All in all, while nothing extreme, little frustrations such as these add up when paying a premium in rent."
"Communication from this property group is poor. Though timely responses were never an issue for them when they had an issue with a tenant doing something (ex. opening their doors to the AC'd hallways to cool off their non-AC'd units on 100+ degree summer days), it would take days for tenant-driven requests to be addressed (ex. broken lamp in a community area, broken/blocked doors to exit the building). In comparison to other apartment buildings in the city - my building did not have many amenities, but they stated my 675 ft 2-bedroom apartment for ~$1900 was comparable to other 800-1000 sq ft 2-bedroom apartments around town (sure). When I decided to move-out, my "move-out specialist" did not follow-up with me to schedule a final walk-through. My initial request to schedule an appointment ~14 days before my move-out day was "too early" but then somehow had no time available to meet with me during my final week. I was NOT going to be charged for cleaning/repairs in addition to the $170 mandatory charge (plenty of my friends who have left were charged arbitrarily for things like ceiling fan blade cleaning, baseboard cleaning, etc). About 28 days later, I finally received my balance charge of more than $300 after my deposit was applied, meaning my charges for cleaning were more than $800. I requested a copy of my payment ledger for all 5 years I lived in the unit and my move-out charges to be sent via email instead of snail mail --- come to find out that the AR specialist missed the fact that they charged me two times for rent in my final 11 days of my lease (~$720). They corrected the "error" and now owe me $380 as a balance. Will see what happens when I try to report this to higher management within the company - wonder how many times this "error" has happened before."
"I rented with anchor for almost 10 years. Their no do breed restrictions is why. B Street was the best of the 3 buildings I lived at. Richmond Flats was the worst. A/C popping fuses, the building was in desperate need of a cosmetic upgrade. B Street was immaculate. My biggest complaint is the sketchy crazy people they rented to. The Sellina had very sketchy people. Smokers got away with it."
"I have had a wonderful experience with Anchor NW properties! From my first phone call with Linda, who was very helpful and friendly, I knew that I was in capable hands. Sheri showed me a couple of apartments and quickly and instinctively knew what I was looking for. I hope she gets a nice commission for her great job. Haley worked very hard to make this rental happen. My rent was subsidized and that added an extra degree of difficulty . She kept everyone involved updated ,and she coordinated all the documents. She was fantastic and cheerful . Tina did super nice job to finalize the deal. Even though I was late to meet with her to pick up the keys, she took the time to cover all of the finer points about my beautiful apartment. I have many years of experience renting apartments, this team was outstanding !!!"
