"Basically, the same experience everyone else has described, although most of the customer service people were nice and tried to help. Due to an accounting error on their part, my coverage was terminated. But after months of back and forth, they abruptly told me they wouldn't reinstate because they had called me three times and were disconnected. Total BS. Now I'm left on the hook for dental treatment that was supposedly covered. Filed a BBB complaint."
"Don't ever use this service. We were referred to another dentist from our main dentist because she didn't have the equipment for the oral surgery. After going back and forth about multiple items, they come back to us and say they aren't covering a dime of the $6000 surgery after the fact. They also cancelled our policy twice because they didn't run our monthly payments. Have spent hours on the phone with these guys and they have terrible customer service and just don't seem to care about their customers one iota."
"I had automatic payments set up and they failed to go through sometime last year. I had sufficent funds in my account but Dental Health Services stated there were not sufficient funds to cover the payment. My bank has no record of them attempting to take an autopayment and I received no charge for insufficient funds. My account is now terminated as I have not paid for a few months. While I agree that we must all be responsible and check our accounts, I do not like the fact that autopayments so frequently have errors on the Dental Health side. I felt that customer service was not very friendly. I often felt talked over rather than listened to. The customer service rep even mentioned she was going to hang up. With all that I've read and heard I am not sure I want to trust my bank account with this company any longer."
"If I could leave 0 stars, I gladly would. This is the most dismissive, unprofessional, terrible insurance company I've every had the displeasure of dealing with. I paid my first month's premium weeks before the due date only to be notified that my payment wasn't received. I had to wait on hold with their customer service for around 20 minutes before a completely apathetic customer service rep took my call and told me that my payment did actually go through and things were fine. I had a bad feeling about them at this point, for sure. Weeks after that, I never received insurance cards or plan information. Not a single thing. Hell, they didn't even bother to send a bill (either paper or email) to even let me know when my next month's premium was due. Needless to say, I was done and cancelled immediately. Now my husband and I have to go without dental insurance until the next open enrollment period. Please, please, PLEASE do not trust your time, money, and health with Dental Health Services!!!!! I truly regret not reading the other reviews before signing up with them. Do not make the same mistake I did."
"My experience with this company has been the worst. They billed my credit card for a month then completely dropped off the planet. I tried contacting them by email no response. I left them messages, no response. Finally, I reached someone at the Seattle number only to be told they had cancelled me for non-payment despite the fact they had my address, my credit card information and my phone number and never sent me anything telling me they were cancelling me."
