"My Niece had her wedding here. Everything was wonderful! The weeding was Beautiful and we could not have asked for a nicer place. Parking was a little iffy at times, but it all worked out."
"Had a wonderful time at Flinn Block Hall for my wedding in October 2023. The owners were easy to work with from the beginning when we visited right to the end when we left for the evening. It was well worth what we paid for it. I liked the simplicity of this space - we had the ceremony and reception all in one spot, so basically guests are at their dinner seats during the ceremony. Things I want to highlight: 1) ADA accessible - it's all upstairs, but there is an elevator. I felt totally comfortable with my elderly guests there. NOTE - I'm not sure how accessible bathrooms would be for all wheelchair users - you would need to visit to make sure, and talk with the owner. I remember the bathrooms being mostly accessible, but maybe a little small if someone had a very large wheelchair. 2) Air conditioning works great - we never got too hot! 3) Freedom in decorating - as long as we were careful (felt feet on everything to protect floor, use only Command Strips on specific places on the wall) we had lots of freedom on how to decorate. We had to purchase used table linens for the tables, but the chairs looked great as-is. We brought in a lot of thrifted furniture and several of our own tables. The walls looked great without adding much, so it was okay that we were limited on hanging stuff on the walls. The twinkle lights on the ceiling beams are placed there by the owner, and they make sure to check them and replace any light bulbs that are out the day before your event. 4) BEAUTIFUL and huge bar with sink and refrigerator. Prep room with extra fridge space available as well."
"Gorgeous & memorable venue! The owner is very helpful and responds quickly to communications. We were there on a warm night and the AC kept up the whole time! It is a vintage venue so you might be limited in what types of decorating you do."
"Flinn Block Hall is a wonderful choice for couples looking for more DIY options. The hall is reasonably priced, and has options to add things if needed. This means you won’t be paying for things you don’t need. You can rent a whole day or by the hour (there is a minimum for hours rented but I forget how many). Dressing rooms are add on so if you don’t need them you don’t pay for them. We needed them and paid for them. There is no kitchen and no cooking allowed. Wasn’t a problem for us, but can be for some. I’ve heard some complain that the two dressing rooms being next to each other makes it hard to not accidentally see each other. We had no issues, just have someone let the other know to stay in the room for a few minutes. Super photogenic building! Gorgeous brick walls, real wood floors, and as my friend put it, “Romantic windows.” Anni was great to work with. She has a lot going on, obviously, but real down to earth and gets things done. Contracts are straightforward and thorough. Unfortunately, she wasn’t available to be there at our wedding but her helper, JoAnn, was excellent. She was ready to help and quite chill which is the kind of person you’ll want on your side when so many things are happening at once. Only thing we found inconvenient was they don’t accept any cards, just cash or check. Otherwise, we had a great experience. One of my easiest vendors to work with. One piece of advice is to not over-decorate the venue. It’s gorgeous on its own, you just need some main pieces that make it yours. Happy days! PC: J|D Elegance Photography"
"We reserved the Flinn Block Hall for our Granddaughters wedding and reception on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016. The hall is beautiful, and had all the amenities that we needed pull off the wedding and reception. The Groom and Bride dressing rooms are absolutely awesome, very elegant. The hall itself is large, with a beautiful view of 1st Street, through very large windows. We had room enough to set up chairs for the wedding ceremony while leaving the tables, for the reception and dance, untouched. After the ceremony, we placed the chairs at the tables and had a dance floor. There is ample electrical outlets, a serving counter, sink, with small fridges under the counter. In another room is counter space, sinks, and 2 large fridges. Bathrooms are convenient to the hall, and the old brick walls, and wooden banisters/stairs allowed for very picturesque photos. I would, without reservation, recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to host a wedding or any small/large family or company event. Thank you Anni for a wonderful place to hold Rebecca's Wedding."
