Reviews
"My wife and I have lived at Regency Park for about five years. The apartment complex was nice and clean, and we had no issues when we lived there. Office personnel, as well as maintenance crews, were amazing. Unlike other reviews, the move-out process with a walkthrough in our case was good. We have lived in three different apartments so far, and Regency Park is the best in our experience."
"Management is horrible they harass you if you are 2 days past the due date for your rent. They don’t care to help their residents when in a struggle, even after they gave me the application for housing assistance and I was approved they denied them. Management is extremely rude. There is dog poo everywhere and it’s very overpriced for the space. The location is good is the only thing good about them. If I knew how terrible they were there I wouldn’t have moved in, it would have saved me a ton of time and hassle. Oh then I left the apartment spic and span and they send me a bill for 600.00 on bogus charges. I do not recommend to anyone ever! Not a good place to live!"
"i give 5 stars to the staff. Everyone we dealt with was easy to communicate and direct to the point. They really made it easy for us to move. We only needed the place for 3 months and they gave us options on how we can do it. We needed the apartment ASAP and kim showed us with no hesitation the different apartment that was available so i can actually see the inside and decide which one we wanted. Kim and Chirsty are a great team and pleasant to work with. Everything was smooth from moving in and moving out. I loved this area and the neighborhood. Only thing that made it a 4 star was the lighting in the apartments are really awful. Bedroom did not even have lights. There was water damage under the sinks but we did a walk through and kim showed me whats already there before moving in and took notes. I have 2 dogs and the fees aren't cheap. All in all i would choose this place again if i needed it, only because of the staff. It speaks volume if you have people like them to work with.... So thank you for our pleasant stay."
"Lived in these apartments two separate times. The first time in 2018/2019 had no issues whatsoever with living in the complex. We didn't get our deposit back, but had no extra charges because our deposit paid whatever was needed for the apartment. We came back in 2022/2023 because we had a pleasant experience the first time but have been sorely disappointed. Parking was always bad so that was no surprise. Maintenance got back to us very timely, staff were relatively pleasant. It wasn't until we moved out that we had a hard time. Most of the move out charges were reasonable for our pets that broke blinds and our standard holes in the wall that we forgot to fill. BUT the cleaning fee and the paint fee were ridiculous. When I tried to inquire about these fees we got the runaround from front desk AND the Avenue 5 office who both said they couldn't provide information. It's by WA State law that if a tenant asks for receipts that they should provide them; which Regency Park and Avenue 5 would not provide. We moved into our apartment with filthy floors that turned my kids' feet black. We had to clean everything before we even moved in. But on move out we cleaned everything spick and span and Regency Park even said our apartment was clean but not clean enough. Didn't matter that we moved into a dirty apartment. Didn't matter that we had photo documentation of things that were dirty or scuffs on the floor. We were charged for 2 1/2 gallons of paint. Again, WA State law prohibits landlords and companies to charge a tenant property improvement. This charge was the one charge we were able to dispute and then Regency Park admitted that they only used 1/2 gallon of paint. We were called everyday to pay the balance but had to request our move out sheet which was not provided to us (again WA State law says this must be provided via PAPER copy). Total runaround and vague answers, but constant nagging for our money. We've been moved out less than a month. Living here was overall fine. But due to move out charges and their move out process I do NOT recommend Regency Park or any Avenue 5 run company. Edited to add: Regency Park did reach out and did provide me with one receipt. But still disappointed that I had to escalate to such measures in order to get a response and proper communication. Added one star to my review for Regency Park being more communicative, but still leaving my review as is. Loved living in the complex, just wish move out charges are more clear for future residents."
