"I have lived at Alderwood for nearly two years. The staff, both maintenance and office, have been amazing!! They always respond in a timely manner to any problem I may have. And they're always very pleasant when they come to repair or replace whatever you need them to. They even brought me light bulbs once!! I love living here. It's always quiet and peaceful and the grounds are always in awesome condition. So I would highly recommend renting here (if you're lucky enough to get an apartment here!!) They go fast....and for good reason!!"
"Oregon West Management is the best place I’ve ever experienced and heard of from family and friends. The staff and management are so kind and go above and beyond to make sure we are happy and taken care of. They also have really nice apartments. They are modern and feel like home. I can’t say enough to explain how amazing they are. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone."
"I lived in the Westridge Apartments for 3 years (November 2013-November 2016) and was always so pleased with the management and obvious care that was put into the buildings. Right before I moved in, my apartment was updated with new flooring, new appliances and a new toilet, and it was my impression that this was being undertaken in all the units as turnover took place. All the building exteriors were repainted and the parking lot blacktop was refinished twice during the time I lived there. There was also a major drainage construction undertaken to ensure the parking lot did not flood in the winters (which can happen a lot in Coos Bay with all the coastal rain!). They also updated their rent payment options during the time I was there, making it possible to auto-pay online which I loved. (Who wants to have to worry about writing checks in the 21st century?!) I can't imagine anyone having an unpleasant conversation with Maria. She was always so nice and friendly. I don't think I ever waited more than a day for maintenance to be done (and it was required maybe twice in the whole time I lived there - full disclosure the sink disposal can be temperamental). The management office was also really helpful with holding packages if you were out of town or at work and always asked permission to enter your apartment (even if it was just to drop off one of said packages for you). This was the first apartment I ever lived in out of college and intern-provided housing and the staff was always very nice about explaining how the lease agreement worked and made move-out very simple. This is a great, affordable place close to everything downtown. I sometimes thought about moving in order to get a second bedroom for guests but I just never could, I liked the location too much. You can walk to all the downtown events and food places. The library and a grocery store is only one block away. The high school only 3 blocks in the other direction, and Mingus Park is only 0.2 miles. Another perk is being on the same electrical grid as the school, library and fire department - even if the power goes out, it comes back up real quick ;) I also liked that all the Westridge units are single floor - no downstairs or upstairs neighbors to worry about. And the insulation is so good I thought I didn't have a neighbor on one side of me for a whole year until I saw him coming out of his apartment one morning. To be fair, the month-to-month lease does tend to lend itself to fairly frequent turnover so I can't speak to the neighbors as some were great and some were more noisy/smokers/pet owners than others. But I never had any real problems with anyone. I've been meaning to write my review since I left to move back to the Midwest for work because I wanted to make sure they got the kudos they deserved. Apartment hunting can be fun but is often daunting (especially if you are doing it from out of town as I have had to with moving). I hope this review will help someone help themselves to a great apartment. ^_^"
"I am altering my review to two stars based upon the fact of living there. The place itself with its process of applications is not the frustration. We cleaned the apartment to move in - the interior of the fridge wasn't clean nor the window shades or the bathrooms. We cleaned on the way out. We were still charged a cleaning fee. Utter and complete BS. Not worth my time to clean and this is the first time in my adult life I have ever been charged a cleaning fee. Recommend that you not leave it a mess....yet, they will still try to find a way to get money from you. Especially if you write down all of the problems in the apartment to a tee. They can't charge you for damage...so they charge you to clean. Sad really"
"I have been renting from Oregon West Management for almost 20 years now. They are always prompt with any needs that tenants have and they keep things cleaned up around the apartment complexes. They try to make upgrades when needed and follow all Oregon landlord laws closely. Some things are outdated but that's not the fault of the local business office. I feel like they care about their tenants and the properties they maintain. I can't say enough good things about the manager, staff and maintenance dept."
