"Hey owners, get good management and update your property and you’ll get top dollar. Management is incompetent. Every tenant should educate themselves and challenge management because they absolutely have legal liability. #63 is a 2-bedroom apt with one 28 gallon water heater. Again, a 2 bedroom apartment in 2023 has a 28 GALLON water heater. That doesn’t even fill up the bathtub. What does upper management say? Shrug of the shoulders and welp other residents haven’t said a thing. But #58 a one bedroom has a larger water heater? This place hasn’t updated with the times. Asking $1649-1689 with only a small size stackable washer/dryer in few units. Utilities billed back based on occupants and umm… billing out to past residents for haul aways AND current residents for bill back? Isn’t that double dipping? Please someone take them to court for this. Better deal elsewhere. Management sucks and has gone from company to company. Blanton Turner couldn’t care less to deal with resident issues and complaints. Don’t rent from Blanton Turner. They are not inclusive and are a company based on favoritism. Period. Outdated forms, uneducated management. They will have you in their radar to evict you if they don’t like you. How do I know? I worked for them and rented from them. They wanted to cover up the smell of what I considered to be an indicator of mold rather than investigate. I had to push the issue for them finally to agree to replace a water heater which seemed was the culprit. Very poor quality management and maintenance. They treat tenant issues like they’re burdens. Again, I have been privy to conversations that have revealed this. Amanda Thorn that works mainly out of Kings Court office stated she wanted to evict a tenant after being upset she was getting rental assistance! I asked if she didn’t like the tenant and she said there had been issues with the residency. Minor sounding in nature I might add. She just thought the tenant was “working the system.” I said I had never heard of a housing provider getting so upset for getting paid."
"Very nice apartments. The owner really cares about keeping the residents happy."
"This property manager on site woman CORA is TERRIBLE and so incredibly rude and unfriendly. I would never recommend someone to rent from them. Normally I don’t have issues with landlords etc but this place has been a nightmare and I’ve only lived here a year. Wouldn’t even give them a star! They also had amenities that they never fixed, the laundry room is always breaking down and dirty. Also not safe with bums going through trash, and the staff told me to carry pepper spray. Also not to mention it’s flea infested and has mold! Just unbelievable what I’ve experienced here!"
"Terrible. Wish i could give them 0 stars. Every email that is sent out to their tenants are riddled with typos, my favorite being one email that was sent which was just thousands of lines of html code. Good one! Cheap appliances that break and need replacing only to be replaced with additionally faulty equipment that has clearly just been refurbished. During the heatwave last year when it was 108 in Springfield our refrigerator broke. Granted it was on a weekend but the emergency call center they hired was no help and we were without a fridge for the record heat wave during the weekend. What made the matter worse is that i have a 2 year old daughter with me and we were left out to dry(literally) all weekend. Centennial charges you to install their own ac units and takes them away after summer. The state of Oregon is currently trying to pass a bill that will allow tenets to buy and install their own cooling units so I'm hopeful this will change this issue and stop people like centennial from dictating the temperature of your own home. We had two bikes stolen from us (both locked) one from our front door and one from out back (gated) patio. The apartments on centennial are near a rehab center and while I'm supportive of people seeking help it lends itself to crime in the form of stolen items from our complex. Front office was no help when that happened, seemed like they treated it as a "you" and not "us" issue. No mention of bolstering a security camera system(as if they had one). Security camera's aren't expensive. Raise rent after being loyal tenants that were never late on their rent(not shocking) but what IS shocking is that once we decided to put in our 30 days notice the same apartment was listed at nearly a 300 dollar increase from what we were paying. This place is just a mess. Always love waking up in the morning on my way to my car before work and smelling the wonderful stench of their faulty sewer system. Told us that they would replace out faulty toilet two months in to the lease. Never did. Done. Never again. Don't let the positive reviews fool you. Probably people working there writing those which is against Googles TOS. Not surprising."
"NEVER AGAIN! My girlfriend and I have rented here 2 years. It was great with the last management company but I'll never rent from anything Avenue5 again. We've had nothing but problems with maintenance and management. The worst being they entered our apartment without giving 24 hour (or any) notice and without knocking while we were in bed! And now we have gone over 3 months without a ceiling!!! Contractors show up and say, "we can't get started. We don't have tools with us", and postpone it until the next day or week. Horrible experience and still 2 months to go!"
