"Don't know why Google wants me to rate this. I was at the restaurant by the inn. I guess I will rate the parking lot then. 5 stars. Never out of space to park here."
"Nice and very quiet place to live, its manager is friendly and is very aware of the needs of those who rent here"
"They had a huge problem with the manager from hexx DEBBIE. They fired her finally and BRIAN, the former maintenance person has taken over and is doing a superb job. They are lucky that DEBBIE didn't drive him off. Cost-effective and well run at last."
"DO NOT MOVE IN TO THIS PLACE! IF YOU DO, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING! TAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING!!! MANY OF THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX ARE ACTUALLY ABOUT THE MOTEL RIGHT NEXT DOOR WITH THE SAME NAME. Please, read through the review to determine the difference. This place is horrible! The manager, Debbie Wallice, if that is actually her true name, is one of the most unpleasant people I have come across. She asks inappropriate questions about one's personal life. She entered my apartment without my permission or a 24 hour notice, which is required by law, and then called me at work to complain that my dog almost attacked her. When I asked if he got out, she told me "no," it was when she entered my residence (illegally). I informed her, that he was doing his job protecting. The turnover rate here is HIGH; and for good reason. Black mold grows all over the walls and they have the nerve to say that it's because of furniture. Furniture cannot fit in the bedroom corner of the opening closet door and the window. The appliances are always breaking down. The bathroom ceiling falls down when the steam rises. There is no ventilation system other than opening the bathroom window completely. The underground water pipes are old, corroded and constantly bursting. Expect constant noise from sunup to sundown. Apparently, after signing the lease, there are addendums and additional documents attached to the leasing agreement that are not shown to the residents. THIS IS ILLEGAL! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! IF YOU DO, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING. TAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING!!!"
"*** If landlord enters your apartment illegally or you have anything missing in your apartment...PLEASE...GO TO THE SPRINGFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT -FILE A POLICE REPORT- *** DO NOT CALL FROM YOUR APT. GO IN PERSON *** update* 2/14/2018 - police report filed a month ago against landlord Deborah Wallace for stolen court mail. She has a key to the mailboxes. The court mail had to do with a restraining order my family filed against her(hearing date). She stole this mail so we could show up in court. Debbie uses different alias names. She put a rent increase of $15 and refused to sign her name on the legal document. Put her initials down only?! Repairs have not been made in over a year. Rent increase?!?! Shady. Report to Springfield Police if you have missing mail or belongings in apt. They creep here and case your property a lot. I have lived at that apartment complex for two years. Long enough, to give you an honest & hopefully a very helpful review. Before, you consider choosing Village Inn Apartments, as your new home, BEWARE. Unfortunately, my experience is not a positive one. Based on the reviews, I suspect some may be "fake" reviews. The landlord "Debbie", attempted to assault my disabled family member a month ago {November- At his apt. home} after the Landlord "Debbie" received a legal letter in the mail demanding Debbie return "STOLEN FUND". She was served a restraining order. The landlord (Realvest) charged myself & my family member $35/month for a cable service that was NOT provided. The cable fee was charged to our rent. We were forced to pay regardless. I had my own cable contract/cable with "Comcast" that was under my own name/account. The only cable in that apartment was my own. Prior to moving into our apartment, the landlord, "Debbie" was very rude & dishonest. Originally, we were supposed to move in to a 2nd floor apartment in another building (apt. 40), but as we drove by the outside to check where it was located, the apartment window was broken. It looked sketchy. I didn't feel comfortable. The landlord, had another apartment available near the office. She "claimed" it was ready, however, after my family member requested to see it on the phone, she refused to let us see it and stated on the phone, "I can't let you see it like that". The apartment, was very damaged inside. They "claim" they do annual inspections every year? They did inspections on our apartment while living there. If you do inspections, then explain to me why that apartment, you moved us into, was so badly damaged?! They moved us into a dirty apartment that was not finished. They gave us a refrigerator that looked like it was from the 70's. There was plumbing problems. We had a pond in our kitchen after we moved in. The apartment constantly had a mold problem. The wall(s) in the living room weren't attached to the wall. The wall was popping out. The main door to the apartment was not a "weather-proof" door. It was not properly sealed. The crime is terrible. We had our licence plate stolen off our vehicle. I had to call the police relentlessly. I had a lot of people arrested and removed from the property. Someone tried to break into my apartment in the early morning hour one time, he was arrested. The landlord, "Debbie" was constantly harassing myself & my family member. Often, making inappropriate comments. The maintenance staff "Brian" and "John" made inappropriate sexual comments in my apartment w/me & my family member present (while they were supposed to be doing repair work). One of the maintenance men brought a stolen cart into my apartment from the "Rite Aid" across the street because he didn't want to carry his tools. Basicly, he admitted he was a thief. BEWARE, before you consider moving in here. I didn't know what I was getting into, until I moved in. Legal action is pending against these people."
