"I love living here. Emily is amazing..they care alot about there tenants from what I've seen. They are respectful and listen to your concerns or fix things right away and always communicate. I'm going on our third yr hear with my hubby and two kids. There apartments are clean and spacy. This is by far the best place we have ever rented. They have been so amazing to us and understanding!!!"
"We lived here for 1 year and had the worst experience. The neighbors upstairs had a leak and created mold in our bathroom. Maintenance came to look at it and when we moved out they blamed us and are charging us $400 for something that was out of our control. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments at all because you will not get your deposit back and be charged for extra things on top of it. Lived here all of 2020"
"Terrible place to live. I have no complaints about the physical upkeep of the property or the unit I lived in. Initially, I moved to cloverdale because of the price point and month to month options. Management is extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating during the application process. That quickly changes once you move in. I was charged a fine for leaving a small dog waste bag next to the dumpsters. There was no proof I was the offender and when I asked the management to show me proof that I was the one who had left the bag, they stopped communication and automatically charged my debit card on file. Dumpsters are locked in the evenings and aren’t opened again until 8 or 9 in the morning. Very inconvenient. I was also given a notice of complaint about drums being played in our apartment. We didn’t have any drums in our apartment... And lastly, I just received my invoice for move out charges and was charged $100 for unreturned parking passes. These were both returned along with our keys and mail keys. So now I have to waste my time fighting Emily and the rest of the management until they can figure out their mistake. I’m just grateful I was able to buy a house and get out of there! Don’t let their kind demeanor fool you. They are not kind people and are crooks in my book. Just a typical apartment management company trying to take people for everything they can get even if it’s completely unfounded."
"I lived here about 10 years ago, for 3 years with my then partner and our young daughter. We kept to ourselves, kept quiet. After my ex moved out, I was accused of having people living with us, and had to prove repeatedly that I did not. I caught the manager and maintenance guy peeking in my windows on separate occasions, and on one occasion taking a Polaroid picture. When confronted they said they were monitoring my electricity usage. Just really weird. I never had any maintenance issues and very little crime in the area. I was informed by a neighbor's visitor that they had just signed the lease to MY apartment. A couple of days -later- we received a no-cause eviction, delivered by the manager, accompanied by her daughter and granddaughters like it was some messed up family outing. There was no fighting it, no response to any appeal or asking why they were evicting someone who had no complaints against me, always paid rent on time, and never caused problems. It was heartbreaking. The whole situation felt very creepy and unprofessional. After moving, I received a letter thanking me for keeping the apartment so nice, but was nickel-and-dimed for everything you could think of, including a pile of dirt in the parking lot that I'd had nothing to do with, repainting the patio there was nothing wrong with, and replacing screens that had no holes or bends. It was like they had the wrong person, beginning to end. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I hear they're under new management, but not new ownership, and if the owners didn't pay attention to reviews and complaints when I was there, chances are it's just as bad now. It's unfortunate, when you're poor and desperate for a place to live, the treatment you'll put up with."
"Really have not been happy with the management or the maintenance crew. The management really is just rude and don't try to help. You have to keep calling and keep bugging them before they will do anything. The maintenance crew does a good job at making the apartments looking nice form the outside. But they really do not have high standards for the inside of the units. I work on the maintenance crew at a different apartment complex up the street and the things they let go by with out being fixed at Cloverdale I would never let happen at where I work. They come and do walk throughs every few months it feels like and I was expecting them to fix a list of things or replace a ton of outdated things. And all they did was give us a new toilet seat. And we have bright red carpet in our unit. All the other units have a light tan color and we keep requesting to get the new modern carpet and they always say no. And to me that is just bad management. And I know for sure that if we moved out, they would replace the carpet. At the complex where I work, we replace the carpets for people all the time. If it's out dated or worn out. We take all tenants requests seriously. Me and my wife have lived here for almost 5 years and have been loyal to them and have kept our apartment nice and clean and have always paid rent on time and I feel that the management does not care or value us. I would not recommend living at the Cloverdale apartments."
