"Like someone else stated, it doesn't have any frills (I'd invest in a AC unit), but it was decent for the price. My main complaint is that the marketing of, "Ultra-quiet homes with increased floor, wall, and ceiling soundproofing" on the website is extremely misleading. The walls were so thin that I could hear one neighbor sneeze, and the other open, close, and start their microwave. Now that I'm living in a different building (built around the same time), I can honestly say that the "increased soundproofing" at Wheelhouse was non-existent and seems like a lie/false advertising."
"Heather is wonderful! Super responsive and helpful, and made the move-in process seamless. Love the spot, love the management - thank you :)"
"The apartment itself is nice enough. The proximity to things to do in Sellwood was great. My issue is that parking was getting increasingly hard to find, often having to park 2 blocks away. This is only going to get significantly worse once they finish building the apartment next door. My car was also broken into once, and also had a hole drilled in the gas tank. I have seen other cars with smashed windows on the same street, so I know it's not just happening to me. The call box also hasn't worked for almost the entire 2 years I lived there, despite notifying them about that multiple times."
"The apartments are really nice. It’s quiet and feels safe. Great location and price point. The property management team gets back to you quickly and tries to resolve issues efficiently. The downsides are the owners are building a twin complex next door and it is extremely noisy from 7-7. There is no AC in the units but there is in the building which is frustrating, why not extend it to the units too? So you have to keep the window open but then there’s the noise. The construction has made parking a little more difficult, not too bad, but you do have to park a block away frequently. Hopefully once the construction is done it’ll get better. Overall good place to live and would recommend."
"I would not recommend moving here right now. Owners of the building are currently building another building next door. There has been construction going on for last 3 months, and no end in sight. It’s loud, and sometimes they block off the street to the building without notice. My car has been blocked in several times. They are usually done by 5, which is good, but if you work from home it’s rough. They’ve also had to shut off the water several times , with very little notice. It’s really been awful."
