Reviews of The Kathryn Ann
"The walls are very thin and you can easily hear your neighbors. The community offers the very basics; no frills. The entryway and community areas are dirty. Lots of large dogs in the apartment so lots of barking throughout the night and w/e's."
"I couldn't leave this place soon enough. The noise from the upstairs neighbors was unbearable. I sent several emails to complain but managment couldn't care less. I also submittted multiple maintenance request, several of them were never closed or they were looking to charge something like 80usd/hr. Living there was as close to a nightmare as it gets, I could hear my neighbors moving around very loudly between 5am till midnight. How can someone be so active? They were probably also excersicing at home which just made things worse. In summary, not a single night of full sleep in the last many months. From time to time, there is a smell of smoking in the hallways, which I also didn't appreciate. Apartments are tiny, but location and appliances are great. So it could be a nice place to live, but it's not."
"Don’t move here if you value sound privacy. My unit has been filled with sounds from the other apartments and something else that is vibrating/humming taking over my entire apartment. I’ve sent over 20 emails regarding sound complaints from an abusive couple next to me that had a few people living there to my walls literally moving from a dresser being slammed from the other unit on the opposing wall. I’ve asked for someone to meet me to experience this unlivable condition of sound penetration but was just offered to move to another unit with no accountability or assistance. I don’t suggest living here and I’m waiting for my lease to end."
"I lived in the Kathryn for a year, and it was a pretty nice apartment considering it was downtown. The area is very walkable, the apartments are brand new (but tiny), and area is historical and cute. I don’t recommend you live here if you have a car. Parking has a tendency to be impossible, and with more apartments going up in the area, it will only get worse. Additionally, the complex has had multiple security breaches and numerous police-related incidences with drunk drivers, stolen packages, and questionable tenants (or visitors of tenants), which I would look out for. Every week for months, there were images of people who were banned from the building with no explanation or communication to tenants on if they should be concerned or feel unsafe. Overall, it was a good building, but as my lease was ending, we had so many security-related issues that I felt a little unsafe living there. Be careful, but overall it wasn’t a bad place to live. I enjoyed living there for the first seven months. Also, upon moving out, I didn't have any absorbent charges so that was great."
"I've lived at The Kathryn Ann about 7 months now, and so far it's been a nice place to live. The apartment was brand new when I moved in, so everything is in good shape and all of my neighbors have been polite. The neighborhood is also really nice; only a couple blocks away from Wallace Park and the dog park. My only complaints are the lack of amenities and security seems to be an issue. The units do not come with AC, there is no parking, there's no gym; things most modern apartments are built with. On multiple ocassions people who are not residents have snuck in, and there have been reports of bikes being stolen out of the locked bike room."
