Reviews of Greenway Apartments
"Been here for a little over a year now and we’ve been through about 3-4 property managers since moving in…The current one is great and really tries to make tenants feel safe and secure. Unfortunately, there’s been some regular package theft in the building recently, which is really frustrating, and there is a lot of either tenant or random homeless people doing drugs in and around the building (have found foil and random drug paraphernalia right out front the building doors). There’s also an issue with homeless going through the garbage and recycling frequently despite being told the doors to those bins are locked. The building is in such a popular and great walking area, but I probably won’t be staying much longer now that some a-hole in the building is stealing packages =/ It’s been one thing after another, and even though filth/drug/theft/and problematic tenants have been an issue for the past year, I’m ready to move on to a better/safer/more secure building."
"We stayed in Greenway for about 5 months. We had no big issues other than it gets really cold during the winter, and the water in our unit will spit out rust colored water for the first few seconds but honestly, I think that’s just part of living in an old building. We had about three property managers in that 5 months but the very last one was great! We had a conversation with him when we moved out and it seems like he’d be a great addition to their team. Seems like he really want to make the apartment better for all the residents! The management has been great to us as well. We left because we needed a bigger space but we had issues with our new apartment and they let us extend our move out date. The location is great. Parking can be tricky and in all our five months there our car never got broken into. (Maybe just be wary of Hoyt Street)"
"Allows 3 Pets. Life saver for me. Not some amazing, amenity filled gentrification hut. $1135 for a decent studio with a good amount of storage. You’re getting what you pay for and you live 15 min walking from Downtown. :)"
"I lived in this building for a year and it was wonderful! The location is amazing, within walking distance of lots of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. Work requests were always handled promptly. The apartment manager is wonderful, best I’ve every had! She is very friendly and lives in the unit so she knows everything going on in the building. I would definitely recommend renting from this place."
"I've lived in this place for about 2 1/2 years, it originally caught my attention due to the location which seemed and still is pretty decent. However the management and upkeep of this place is horrible. There were recurring instances of loud music past quite hours. I wrote and sent politely worded complaints to the building manger. Each time all she would say is that she would "talk" to the residents and tell them the rules and to keep noise levels down. However the residents kept being extremely inconsiderate and violating quiet hour rules, and the building manager hardly did a thing about it. I got her into my apt one time when the neighbors were blasting the music and the floor was vibrating from the noise levels. She didn't seem like she particularly cared and offered the usual response that she would speak to them and ask them to keep it down. I received a final written response from the building manger and Bristol Urban, the management company. To summarize the point, they were stating that the rights of tenants to blast their music at inappropriate and ridiculous levels after 10 pm was more important to them than tenants who always paid their rent on time and never inconvenienced or acted inconsiderately to other neighbors. Security was lax, people propped open the entry doors to the building frequently, one time their was a homeless man laying on the bench inside the building entry way. Halls were dirty, building and windows were falling apart. Also there was one day, last July 4th 2017, in which there was dog poop inside the hallway! Actual dog poop inside! Unacceptable conditions and treatment for the high cost of rent being paid! I would not recommend this building or management company to anyone!"
