"Beautiful City and Park also nature is near by MAX. But Portland is changing a lot. So many homeless people and drug problems around there. Weeds smell everywhere in this park specially at night. But usually beautiful and nice. Only 2 stations distance from Moda Center."
"Everything seemed great at first. I paid a $300.00 deposit and signed a lease. Then the day I was supposed to get my keys they never reached out. I reached out the following day and couldn’t get a response. It’s now been 2.5 weeks and I still haven’t got a response. I’ve reached out multiple times. Edit: I found a email contact in a separate Google review and got ahold of Lydia with Thrive. She said there was a management change which is why my requests were going unseen. They were very kind and apologetic. I will not be moving in because of the incident but Lydia and Kaslynn were extremely helpful and responsive after I made contact with them."
"I’ve lived here for a full year now and management has been going to hell! The elevator was broken for 4 weeks with minimal update, in addition to setting up cameras around the facility, but not making sure that they are working correctly. The most wild thing that has happened is a residents car was stolen from the parking garage! A majority of people In this building park on the street but do not get proper into. Not to mention the trash room has been in cleaned for the past several months, resulting in unwanted guests (animals and house less people looking for things). I work with property management companies through the US, and this has got to be the worst experience (personally and professionally)."
"This place has *BY FAR* the worst building management I have ever dealt with. At first, when it switched from Coast to Thrive, it seemed like things were getting handled, but the recent staff turnover has made this place nearly unlivable. The elevator has been broken for three weeks now and we've gotten nothing but EMPTY promises. It has become an ADA issue for residents, not to mention the elderly dogs in the building. Speaking of dogs, there is no trash can to dispose of dog waste bags, and now that the elevator is broken, people are leaving the baggies by the stairs; needless to say, the smell is unbearable. The trash doesn't get picked up consistently and it builds up to the point that now we have rats running around in there. Also, don't even try to get mail/packages sent to your own home, they WILL get stolen and management won't answer any of your emails or calls. People have had their car stolen straight out of the garage, and their bikes taken from the storage room. Maintenance takes weeks, and they keep over-billing us for the "utilities" yet refuse to let anyone know what the breakdown of the bill even is. They claim they're overwhelmed, but that is Thrive's problem for refusing to hire more staff and it should not fall on the residents. If anyone is still considering moving into this building thinking "it's probably not that bad" I urge you to reconsider. I have never seen such incompetence from a "team" and such disregard for other people."
"Moved into Overlook Park in November of 2017. We loved the apartment, it's the standard for newly-built Portland apartments, a 1bd/1ba around 500 square feet with a galley kitchen and a balcony. The fixtures and appliances were new and we had few complaints aside from the dryer needing replacing after about a year, Juan was always prompt with repairs and made our lives easier if things broke! The location is great, practically on the park for taking the dogs out, neighborhood is beautiful, on-site dog cleaning station, well appointed building for pet owners, highly recommend! When we moved in there was an on-site manager, Nona, who organized resident events and was a joy to deal with. Underground parking is only offered to the top floor units so us 2nd floor folks parked on the street even while many of the spots were left empty for years. Building security was spotty, the bicycle room was broken into on multiple occasions, thank goodness for multiple U-locks! Our apartment did not have any bike hanging apparatus. After a large break-in the management had on-site security for a few weeks. My review would be 4-5 stars if it weren't for the abysmal move-out process. The new manager on duty was nearly impossible to get a hold of either by phone or email when it came to putting in our notice, as well as any move-out process, what to do with keys, anything. We moved out on July 5th, Coast Management took the entire month's rent instead of taking the prorated amount. We finally received our security deposit and rent remittance on August 16th, well over the 31 days required by law. It wasn't until I emailed with a threat to take Coast/Overlook Park to small claims court that they sent our check. We were never late with rent in the 30 months we lived there, unfortunately Coast Management did not extend that same courtesy to us when refunding our money, thus the 2-star review. I'd recommend Overlook Park aside from the painful move-out process and nonexistent communication from the manager."
