"do not move here... this place is trash. the manager is nice enough but the people that live there are not so great. most dont take care of the areas and just treat it like a dump. they let people they know like friends and family park where ever they want and take up visitor parking and spaces that are not theirs. they also park their own cars in 2 spaces and a visitor spot since they have 3. the police have been there at least once a month for the last year and the homeless dig in the dumpsters."
"My boyfriend and I moved here about two years ago and this was our first apartment ever. The location of these apartments are in one of the safest neighborhoods and locations (SW Portland next to Jesuit High School.) Carol has always been extremely helpful and kind, and her husband Carlos is always around the property doing maintenance. We haven't ever had issues with noise, people stealing laundry, or bums inside the laundry rooms. I have noticed the door to the laundry room is sometimes left open which IS a problem, but can be easily fixed. The complex itself is small (which we love) so its never confusing giving directions to friends and family. Also, our packages are always delivered to our door and we don't have to deal with going to the leasing office to get them which is common in a lot of newer complexes. The only thing I don't like about this apartment is that its very outdated. For example, no washers and dryers in unit. This is the really the only reason we are leaving, my boyfriend works construction and it's a hassle to tote clothes down to the laundry facility every day. If they renovated (put in wood floors, new cabinets, counter and fixtures) we would stay here for years to come. We are getting ready to move, but If they ever renovate we will definitely move back. Overall, we loved carol and carlos, and we loved the location and price of these apartments, $960 for a one bedroom you cant find better than that in this area!"
"4/23/18: I am trying to patiently await the keys to my new home. Two months later and I am still getting continuously harassed by the same neighbor. Still not sleeping and the onsite manager, Norris Stevens Property Management company, or neighbor won't even bother dealing with my constant calls besides Carol telling me to deal with it or move. Moving here was a huge, expensive regreatable mistake. It's a horrible feeling to be harassed and on private property so the cops can't help you. 2/18/18: If you want peace and quiet, it's not here. You can call Carol, the cops or talk to your neighbor, but you'll still be woken up. Don't let the other reviews fool you (notice how the Facebook reviews are mainly in October). The property sent out a letter earlier this year to be entered into a drawing to win money for a positive social media review. I have attached a video of "normal apartment noise" which mind you is all night and after work while I try to do homework. Not only are the other tenant and I sleeping in the livingroom with three fans, but it's during the day. Nothing more irritating than paying for an apartment to not be able to sleep or relax in. 2/11/18 Update: I have had a new upstairs neighbor move in now and this is the third night he has been waking us up at 2 am. I finally went upstairs and banged on his door. He apparently felt it appropriate time to move boxes around. I left a voicemail for the property manager, still didn't call me back today. I will start to call the cops now because trying to get management to do something doesn't work. Don't be fooled by the month to month, if you move out before 18 months, you get changed extra turn over fees. 12/23/17 Update: there has been on going issues with the security of the laundry rooms. I have personally walked into one of the rooms with a bum either sleeping in the room or hanging out. I reported this a few months ago and was told there where other tenants reporting issues and they've found people sleeping. One laundry room door doesn't shut unless you pull it shut. I've seen it open and get frustrated because no matter if I make sure it's shut, other tenants don't. The apartment could make this situation safer for their tenants but they haven't changed the lock, type of door or installed a security camera. I discovered on Saturday while packing to go out of town for the holidays that $200 worth of clothes had been stolen from my last load of laundry. I called the manager, had to leave a voicemail and still no response. Apparently this complex doesn't care if tenants don't properly shut doors so other people's things are protected, the safety of the laundry room or if other tenants are stealing. I guess from now on I'll be sitting in the laundry room with a pocket knife while the load is going. Making sure the door is locked and setting a timer so my clothes don't sit isn't enough anymore. We've lived here almost 3 months and it's been good. We had a few things needing fixed upon moving in. We were told the old maintenance guy didn't properly do things, so to let them know right away. We've had a few issue since. For 99% of the time the complex is very quiet and most of the other renters are very friendly. It's a great area and a nice small complex not to far from anything."
"This place has awful management. Parking is terrible. The managers have their own assigned parking, but both the husband and wife park in the visitor spots. My grandmothers refrigerator has been leaking since she moved in, and the manager has told her that she will be responsible for replacing it. The wife is extremely noisy, and has been caught peering into the apartment for long periods of time. Not only that, but she is unpleasant to speak with. Wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone."
"I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and I love it! The place is well kept, repairs are done in a timely fashion. They only raise the rent $50 per month each year on a one bedroom. The landscaping is nice. I enjoy using the workout room. They just put in new washer and dryers that cost less per load than the old ones. Eric is a great manager!"
