Reviews of Forest Hideaway Apartments
"Visited several times and they have wood burning fireplaces, which in the winter time helps keep PGE bills low, and two bathrooms. The only thing I noticed about the residents and they have told me on a number of occasions that living at the bottom of the mountain they get all the different weather systems and lots of storms and very cold with the wind in the winter time."
"DO NOT RENT HERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! The management is horrible! We lived here for 2 years. This is the worst place I have ever lived! Management refused to do work on the place, even after we had a lawyer write them a letter. Our dishwasher broke and they would not fix it! The carpet kept coming up and exposing the nails. Our kid stepped on it and got a vicious cut on her foot. They refused to repair it. They hire an aggressive tow truck company to monitor the parking lot. My car was towed with a parking pass on it. Our neighbors caught the tow company before they left the parking lot and against Oregon law the tow truck driver refused to let the car down even though we offered to pay him cash for the hookup fee. He would only accept the full fee. We moved out and they nickeled and dimed us even for stuff that we cleaned. For example we cleaned out the fireplace. There was an unburned log that we left, and they charged us for leaving the log. After we left they sent a bill of less than $50 to collections. I really wanted to fight the bill! As opposed to disputing the charge, we just paid it to get them out of our lives! They are the worst! Get them out of your life as quickly as possible! RUN AWAY!"
"The management is LUCKY to get 1 star.... This was an absolute joke in regards to a healthy living environment. There was black mold throughout the kitchen (they blamed us). The stair treads are loose (they blamed us). The walls and windows are poorly insulated and they tow vehicles even with the required parking permit. I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere and do not even consider this place for your next dwelling.... Management is deserving of a half star, at best and that is only because they are human. Do NOT move here!! If you do, good luck but know you were warned."
"*PARKING IS TERRIBLE* Lived here about 2 years ago. Cost was inexpensive compared to other apartments in the area. I found out the reasoning behind that...hard to get a hold of management. No onsite manager/office. All requests done through online request. We were never aware if our request had been received, no email response, sometimes no note when they came to do work. When they did come out for work, sometimes it would take about 2-3 days. So rent was less expensive than other apartments, but our rent went up about 3 times in a period of 2 years. 2013-2015. Overall it was a good apartment, neighbors were cool. So long as you don't need much management help, the rent might be worth it. *PARKING IS TERRIBLE* (towed from parking lot a total of 5x including my guests)"
"The apartment is great but Management is not. While the cost of rent is fairly inexpensive compared to other apartments in the area, rent increased 3 times within one year and management is very unresponsive and hard to get a hold of."
