"DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE! Health net decided to drop their Medicare advantage plan in my mom's area, and chose not to notify her. She found this out when she went to have her routine mammogram, at the beginning of January. When she called customer service, they even confirmed that no notification had been sent to my mom. All customer service did was transfer her to sign up for new insurance, starting Feb 1st. Meanwhile, my diabetic mother is without her diabetic meds because they're too expensive without insurance. I think health net should buy her a month of meds, but they won't do anything but throw their hands in the air and say, "oh well". This is all so unacceptable."
"Wouldn't negotiate with my clinic so I have lost benefits and have to find all new doctors. Assigned me a new PCP that works at the VA; I am not a veteran. Spent hours on the healthnet website calling the list of "dr's accepting new patients" - btw many of these were urgent / critical care or behavioral health clinics - to find a new PCP and none are accepting new patients. Notified me of the change in benefits with my drs with only three days till close of the online healthcare marketplace and after my partner's open enrollment period had already closed so I could not change insurance."
"Received a text message this morning to call if I had any questions about a new benefit. When I called, it was impossible to get any info because of the way their phone system was set up. It kept re-routing me. Why ask people to call when the computerized phone system doesn't work?"
"Dealing with Healthnet of Oregon is very difficult. Healthnet has not resolved my health-coverage issues. here's the latest problem: When I was finally able to talk with an employee, the person with whom I've been dealing has not given me her last name. She said she was out of time and would call the following week. She did call. But when I dialed her number to return her call, the operator refused to try to help me locate her and transferred me to Healthnet's California number. After waiting a long time, the person came on the line saying I was transferred incorrectly and he needed to transfer me to Oregon. But the line disconnected. This type of dysfunction is just the latest and has gone on nonstop. Up until Covid-19, Healthnet was consumer-member friendly, but not now. Healthnet is a nightmare."
"This is no longer a good company. The customer service is so bad .... the list is endless and they deliberately do not even deserve one star but I had to mark one to have this review go throught. Unbelievable wait times, extremely incompetent people whose only ability is to make lame excuses and put you on hold again ...... never do they even bother answering or solving any of one's concerns. Health Net Plan of Oregon aka Wellcare, has put America's health system in hell and placed our concerns into the trash can! All those people who answer the phone and say they are there to help, are located in the deep south lately and are probably taking naps while you patiently wait on the phone for a couple of hours, patiently I might add, and I personally, always end up sadly hanging up, because it easier to them to collect a paycheck and find ways to do nothing for their consumers. Sorry to be so brutally honest ... but that is how it is!"
