"I get Denied, Denied - Requires prior authorization, or partial approvals on 100% of doctor orders so far. Pacific source would get similar orders approved in a couple of days with zero pushback and little financial impact on me. I'm fairly confident saying what should be 3 months out of work is going to turn into 5+ months and a fat out of pocket bill because of the United insurance approval process."
"I went on 11-28-23 to Vancouver clinic for my annual general checkup, and they CONFIRMED that the general checkup and all tests WILL BE TOTALY COVERED by my United Heathcare insurance, and I will NOT be responsible for any charges, but unfortunately, United Healthcare did not cover all charges, as they are supposed to do. Later they charged my account of $58 that UHC did not cover."
"My husband has United Health Care and needed to get in for an emergency appointment. He had sudden and severe leg pain after a long flight. It may or may not be dangerous. We certainly can't call an ambulance to find out. It looks like there are several emergency care facilities, but just try to get into one. If you are lucky you will be two days out. He will not be signing up again next year. If you are thinking about changing to them - Beware! You may die at home on the phone trying to get into an emergency facility."
"They screw up everything, nobody knows anything, most of the phone representatives are hard to understand due to their thick accents, they hang up on you or dump you back in the que, they have a ridiculously long automated phone system you have to jump through, the representatives refuse to help you unless you meet all of their demands even when asking for a manager so you can file a complaint about the previous representative hanging up on you, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them! I'm disabled and they force me to have a part time job getting them to pay the bill! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company!!"
"Their mental health services coverage is horrendous. I had Kaiser before and they were better than UHC , shocking I know. I opted to stay with my previous therapist on the understanding that I could file claims for towards my out of network deductible and then partial reimbursement once that was hit. They have denied every single claim even though I have provided them with all information they requested yet they won’t give me a straight answer as to what is “incorrect or missing”. Their customer service is no help AT ALL. I had to get the person at my employer who handles our insurance to reach out and still they have not answered my questions as to why my claims have been denied and have only approved 1 of the 10 I have submitted towards my deductible after I filed an appeals. Seriously wishing I had stuck with my previous insurance."
