"As a new, referred client it took me 6 months to get in for an appointment only to be told because my insurance changed and I was no longer in network (despite my insurance assuring me that they would pay for the appointment) I would have to self pay (over $500 just for someone to take a look at my back, that didn't even include any work done). Beware! I suspect this clinic doesn't really want to work with people it has to work with to offer care. I'm starting over and looking for an office that is willing to help people get the care they have paid for."
"One star is generous. My doctor is consistently 1-2 hours late at every appointment, even if its the first appointment of the day (after waiting 4-6 months to be seen). Today, I seemed to be really inconveniencing them by calling to schedule an appointment for an urgent medical condition that was referred by another OHSU doctor. I guess the derms at OHSU don't even respect the other doctors within their organization. This culture of superiority, where patients don't have needs, and the doctors are allowed to be chronically late, trickles right down to the receptionists and assistants who are similarly inept at their job"
"I’ve been a patient at the dermatology clinic for two years. OHSU is an amazing hospital with accessible clinic services and top notch medical care. You do need a referral to be treated here. My doctor referred me, and I can honestly say the treatment journey has been life-changing. It’s important to stay on top of your appointments and follow up with the clinic regularly. Thank you to the OHSU staff who have worked with me all this time."
"This dermatologist office is not considerate of people having a skin condition at all. I have psoriasis and I had been seen by a doc there very recently. He won’t refill my prescription unless I see him (again), even though I just had an appt. It was a virtual appt and he doesn’t care to even look at my skin. I asked for a larger quantity of my lotion because I have to put lotion on 2x a day and he didn’t help me at all. He was not considerate that if I break out again from lack of prescription it will take me a year to clear it up again. He doesn’t care at all. I’ve never had a dermatologist treat me like this. I’m terribly sorry to the office ladies who tried their best to help while I’m super upset."
"It takes at least 3 days after leaving a voicemail to get through to a person, 3 months to even be able to schedule because they take so long to confirm a referral and then confirm insurance (3 months?! never had anywhere take more than a week to do both!) and once they finally allow you to book an appointment, they say there's at least 2-3 months until anybody is available. What the hell is going on with this place? 6 months until you can even be seen?? Not worth your time."
