Reviews of Northwest Foot & Ankle
"I have always been a competitive athlete, challenging myself across various sports over several decades. I have also enjoyed many different forms of movement to increase my physical literacy or to simply move, just out of shear curiosity. When my body isn’t doing well, I want to have a team on my side helping me through the healing process, especially when it comes to my feet, my foundation. Northwest Foot & Ankle is an incredible clinic with real people who care. Dr. McClanahan listened to my story and my concerns with compassion and empathy, making sure I was heard. He went above and beyond, outside of our appointment, talking to other health care professionals about my unique situation, for me to achieve my most optimal and healthy state with my feet. I cannot thank Dr. McClanahan enough for his knowledge, passion, and duty of care to his patients. I also want to thank Dr. Oltman for taking time out of his day to discuss potential alternative treatments. The best kind of physicians you can see are ones that love their job; Dr. McClanahan and Dr. Oltman are two such doctors. Thank you for your expertise and candor regarding my feet. Thank you Northwest Foot & Ankle, you are most appreciated!"
"Dr. Callan was caring, thorough, knowledgeable. I feel hope for the future of my feet. The podiatrist I went to previously had a dismissive attitude and said do these things and stay off your feet. Dr. Callan gave me a comprehensive plan for restoring the strength and flexibility of my feet even though I am in my early 70's. I look forward to the next few weeks of recovery. I love my comfortable new Lems shoes!"
"I had a nice appointment with the doctor and she helped me to understand issues with my feet, in various situations. She gave me a care plan that was a bit extensive and hoping I can do it all and also be able to wear the correct shoes so my feet can heal. The doctor was very knowledgeable and helpful. I’m only giving 4 stars because I was hoping to get an injection and the doctor was not trained in that. I had specifically asked in my appointment set up for injections so it would have been nice to have had that when I came in. They also lost my paperwork from before so I had to refill out everything. Overall I think this is a great clinic but I wish I had been able to have the choice I had asked for before coming in."
"Before I started wearing CorrectToes walking was terribly painful. I definitely felt they were helping so I made an in-person appointment with Dr. McClanahan. He said I have Freiburg's in my 2nd and 3rd toe joints and has me wearing metatarsal pads in addition to the CorrectToes. The positive affect was nearly immediate. It's been nine months and I am walking more normally, I can even skip rope and pressing the now smaller bunions together brings no pain. I tell everyone I know with feet problems to get to Dr. McClanahan, get the CorrectToes and pads. The office also has a decent selection of wide toe box shoes. Dr. McClanahan showed me how to correctly fit shoes and this was another big piece of my improvement. Great office staff here as well and the store online sales are very prompt."
"I like the correct toes a lot and think that it's a really good product. I was very skeptical before I made the purchase and the first few weeks of using it. I did a lot of research before purchasing but still wasn't convinced. After a month or two of using them, I thought I was noticing a difference so I trudged on. Soon, I realized that my feet were feeling better at the end of the day, my toes were in a more natural position, and my barefoot shoes felt even better on my feet. Now, six months later, I can definitely see the wider toe splay and my gait seems to have improved. I wear them as often as possible around the house and yard, removing them if they ever feel uncomfortable. The only concern I have is that they tend to slide out from the pinky toe especially. Not a big deal because I simply push them back in if they do. The price is a little steep but I notice that some of the others available don't have the spacer gaps and are made with a much lower quality silicone. They also don't seem to feel as comfortable on my feet. This is a product I would buy again if necessary and would recommend to others."
