"Working with families devastated by trauma is extremely difficult. It weighs on you. Wears you down like stones on wheat. Why then do I like my job? Because SLMH is the most caring and compassionate employer I have ever had. As an employee, I am supported by an entire team and am empowered and trusted to serve the families we work with. I am supported with supervision, trainings, excellent health care, and more benefit time than I know what to do with. Above everything else, SLMH cultivates emotional intelligence with both clients and staff. I am a better version of myself after working here."

"I have a dear friend that was treated at South Lane Mental Health and I am absolutely Appalled at the way she was treated, she went off from her medications and from doing so, she started to seizure, her entire body was convulsing and her counselor’s told her she had nice muscles while she was in the middle of a seizure! “How compassionate was that”????? I won’t go in to everything that they said to her but to do this to a mentally handicapped individual is completely wrong and despicable!!!! This counselor should be fired immediately and NEVER work In the mental health industry ever again!! A complaint WILL be filed against South Lane Mental Health! They need to be held accountable for their actions, just because someone has a mental illness or need, does not mean they are not A HUMAN BEING!!!!!!"
