"I saw this doctor several years ago. I found him to be extremely arrogant and lacking in compassion. Why he went into this field in the first place I will never understand. Perhaps to have power over other people. He refused to prescribe a medication for me that had been working and switched me to one similar. The one I had been taking could be addictive although I have no issues with addiction. He then asked me if I knew the street value of the drug(which I do not) and then told me I was just mad because I didn’t get what I came for. I came for help after struggling horribly after my child’s death. I was an educated at home mother of two struggling with a child’s death and this man asked me if I knew the street value of Xanax. I was beyond offended. He switched my depression medication but would provide nothing to help me get through the taper off and withdrawal and reintroduction of a new medication. I spent three weeks in bed unable to function and he did not care, he was in fact angry that I would have the audacity to expect my psychiatrist to be able to give me something that would help during the transition in the short term. He was condescending and rude and the communication was awful with lapses in my medication being called into the pharmacy. He traumatized me further and gave me a severe distrust of psychiatrists. I no longer need medication but at the time was in incredible emotional and physical pain. The only reason I stayed seeing him was every other psychiatrist had a months long waiting list and he had none and I could get an appointment in two days. That should have told me everything to start with. I moved from the area and have had more years to recover but he left a lasting impression of an abusive provider. If I could give zero stars I would. It was so damaging that all these years later I still took the time to go on here and leave this review."

"If I could, it would be less than one star...This man failed to look at possible side effects and drug interactions and prescribed me medications that when combined on top of existing medications prescribed from my primary care Dr. caused me to have extremely bad and life threatening side effects. Afterwards, I tried talking with this man about his mistake(s) and what seemed like due to his pompous attitude would not admit any wrong doing. I immediately stopped seeing this doctor after about 3-5 years, and found Dr. Leong in Corvallis. He is amazing...And he was able to get me the correct medicines that didn't and don't interact badly. Dr. McCarley failed me as a prescribing doctor, and failed to admit and wrong doing or that he was even wrong in the first place...disappointed as I sought help. Would not recommend this Dr. to anyone..."

"Front desk staff os very warm friendly and welcoming. The waiting area is nice and comfortable. Dr McCarley is very kind, thorough and has vast knowlege of how best to help. He exudes not only kindness but confidence that he has the knowledge to help find solutions."
