"Dr. Phillips recently saw my partner. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge and his ability to hear my partner's concerns. He gave us options to address my partner's concerns and advised us of the advantages and disadvantages to these options. We were highly impressed with his knowledge and his empathy. He cared about my partner as a person and did not treat him as a paycheck. We would highly recommend anyone with back issues seek out Dr. Phillips."
"Warning to all potential patients and staff of Pacific Northwest Surgery/ Pacific Sports and Spine!! My experience with this establishment began when I was hired by Hepa Graff Janitorial, a local cleaning company contracted by Pacific's admin, Diane. While undergoing some training here and later working as a floater for after-hours cleaning, I observed unacceptable practices. Issues included management's, supervisor Trinity and general manager Ted, shortcuts, pushing staff to follow suit, and disregarding infection control protocols, jeopardizing the safety of both staff and patients. Proper cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection were neglected, and inadequate training for outpatient ambulatory surgical centers was evident. Hepa Graff's general manager, Ted, failed to provide essential training despite recent certification in mid-2023. Complaints about insufficient training were met with scorn and threats of termination from Trinity and Ted. The lack of supplies and training led to cross-contamination, as rags from operating rooms were reused in other patient/staff areas. Or wrong usage of chemicals. One admirable individual attempted to address these concerns, but management, including Brianna Hook, dismissed them. The unrealistic expectations of completing medical cleaning within a limited time frame or lack of qualified training were detrimental to staff well-being, yet Pacific's and Hepa Graff management seemed indifferent. Pacific's awareness of issues with the quality of cleaning etc and Hepa Graff's negligence raises questions about accountability and due diligence. Diane's friendship with Ted may have influenced her prioritization of their relationship over Pacific's best interests. Despite warnings from a worker, Pacific continued its association with Hepa Graff, even after they were fired by Keiper Surgical Center and Oregon Medical Group for similar reasons. Pacific is currently staffed by an undertrained individual from Hepa Graff providing nightly cleaning for Pacific. In conclusion, appearances can be deceiving. Staff and patients should be vigilant, demanding proper cleaning procedures, as the facility's cleanliness may not meet expectations, potentially compromising safety. "Negligent customer service. My neurologist referred me to this office on December 7th. I waited a week, then called and left a message for the new patient coordinator with my name, birthdate, and phone number, explaining that I'd been referred the week prior and wanted to make sure that everything was copacetic with my referral. I frequently do this with referrals, just to make sure the referral was received and to confirm that they accept my insurance (OHP Medicaid). Their outgoing message said I would hear back within 48 hours. I know how swamped medical offices can be, especially these days, so I figured it might take a couple weeks to hear back, instead of the stated 48 hours. But I didn't hear back, even after a couple weeks. Then it was the holidays, and I thought maybe I'd hear after the holidays. Finally, today (January 18th), five weeks after I left a message, my referring neurologist's office called to let me know that they'd just received notice from Pacific Sports & Spine that they don't accept my insurance. Pacific Sports & Spine didn't have the decency to call me back themselves when I'd specifically called to make sure they accept my insurance. I waited in pain a total of six weeks, only to be told they can't help me, which is something they would have known within one minute of receiving my referral six weeks prior. With wait times what they are these days, I'll likely be waiting months to get onto a doctor's schedule even if/when I find an office that accepts my insurance. This is egregious behavior from a pain management office in particular: to know a patient is in pain, to know that they don't accept that patient's insurance, and to never return that prospective patient's call, thus extending that patient's wait time for weeks and weeks, only to ultimately tell them to go somewhere else. It's disregard and a betrayal of what their specialty should stand for."
"I have been going here for two months, making the drive from N Albany. They are truly worth it. The professionalism, talented staff, friendly, caring and lots of options to consider for treatment. Katie F and Devon P were the two I mostly communicated with. Outstanding, with much expertise to help with my needs. They are truly worth the drive with perseverance and tenacity to help their patients…."
"My initial appointment was on 9/27. They told me they sent everything in for a pre-authorization the next week. I called and they said I need to contact my insurance because they haven't heard anything back yet. That was apparently a lie because Pacific Sports and Spine just contacted me this last Friday 10/13/23 saying they haven't even sent the pre-auth in yet because they forgot to have me sign some paperwork. I don't know who to believe from this place."
