"May 15/21 around 9:30 pm, my husband drove me to the emergency room in Florence Oregon. We just got done eating at a restaurant, paid and followed the path to leave the restaurant. Because of Covid there is only one way in and one way out. And we were able to eat outside and so everything is blocked off except for this one path. It was dark outside and I was raised for my purse underneath my sweatshirt, had my mask on. I was following my husband and my kids out the door and then next thing I need I tripped over something that I did not see. Almost a minute later I woke up to my kids screaming mom are u ok? And mom ur teeth! OMG. I was laying face forward on the ground, and spit into my hand one of my front teeth. I looked at my kids and was in shock. My husband grabbed me and helped me into the car and took me to the emergency room. We get to the hospital and I’m covering my face with a towel cuz blood is just dripping off me. I was spitting out broken pieces of my teeth, couldn’t talk much. I didn’t have to wait long to b seen, was out in a room, and Saw the nurse. My husband took our kids back to the hotel and dropped them off. The oldest is old enough to watch the others and he came back to b with me. The Dr came in, cleaned my face and told me I have a huge whole above my lip. She said I am a beautiful girl and she is gonna do her best to keep me this way, and said that I will have to see a plastic surgeon and I will never look the same again. She numbed me up as best as she could, stitched me up, and had to keep numbing me up because I kept coming unnumbed. I got 16 stitches total. One of my teeth went through my lip and out my area above my lip. There whole was probably about 1 inch long and 1 inch tall. It looked like my face was shredded and sliced up by a huge cheese grader. She took her time and did her best to try and get me to look as normal as she could and to make my upper lip actually look like a lip. I had a concussion, got ct scans but everything came back good. After she was done I looked in the mirror and I honestly did not think that my lip would look like a lip. My top front tooth was completely knocked out and the other broke in half. We did not get outta there for hours. But the staff was awesome and the dr is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. It’s been a week and my lip actually looks like a lip but I will have a bad scar and fake teeth.. but this doc , she is a miracle worker! I would recommend her to anyone! Definitely sending her a gift and the staff a card!"
