"I have been seeing Dr Young for probably 10 years and I think he and his staff are always great. I've never had an issue getting an appointment, filling a prescription, etc. I use MyChart to message both him and his assistant and always get a timely response."
"The system is rigged in favor of health providers. Having said that, this place is 'meh'. I can only speak for one Dr, but he was very unpunctual. The only way to get a short wait time (lesser than 30 minutes) was to get the first appointment in the morning. He was very cordial and attentive, but so are all the other Drs I've seen. Also, I went for some respiratory issues, and I was sent back home with the message that "if I'm not feeling better after a week, I should call to get antibiotics". I did call and after 3 minutes of conversation I got them, and then I received a bill for "Office/Oupatient Established Low Mdm 20 Min" for just as much as the in-office appointment. I admit I'm ignorant about this, and this may be the normal procedure, but it feels dishonest. It's not the same type of care, it's definitely a lot less overhead for them, it's not the minimum length they describe in the code, and any other Dr would have prescribed them anyways with the instruction to pick them up should I not get better after some time. My bottom line is that I'd go if I have no choice, but there is no real incentive to choose them. I hope they do better, it's a very convenient location."
"The way that this place operates is BRUTAL. Dr Winjum and Dr Young are both really nice and great doctors, they are not the problem. The office operations are extremely painful and are making me look for a new PCP. -They sent me incorrect bills. I call them about it. No return call. They tell me they will send to collections. I leave 15 (!) messages with their business office and none of them are returned. (turns out their threats of sending to collections are fake and is not something they will actually do) -I have had three telehealth appointments and all three have been at least 30 minutes later than the appointment time -Calls to the appointment line or to the physicians' assistance are never returned This feedback is not one crazy person (me) this seems to match with what everyone else is saying: nice doctors, impossible everything else."
"They take forever to answer, then transfer you to voicemail. Got a voicemail from them to call them back and the cycle starts all over again. It is so irritating that I am now searching for a new provider this week. This has been the same experience with every interaction. In person there is a certain receptionist who is so miserable that it comes across as she hates you for bothering her to do her job. A few people here are great, but their support staff makes you regret doing business with them. If you want a medical team that is at least good at pretending they care about their patients, look elsewhere."
"I have been with this office for 15 years or so and I really like my Doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Young, he isn't the problem. It is everything else leading up to getting in to see him. I also want to say that this problem just started the last couple of years or so. First off, they never consistently answer the phone, when they do it is a maze getting through. Secondly, it is almost impossible to get an appointment if something unplanned happens to you. This happened recently. Dr Young was unavailable and they ask if I could see someone else and I said yes. I thought my problem could not wait two weeks to see Dr. Young. Anyway I go in 20 minutes before my scheduled time. My scheduled time comes and goes. I sat there for over an hour without anyone saying to me "I apologize but we are running a little late". Saying anything would have been greatly appreciated. When I finally go to front desk and ask about my wait, very rude and uncaring response so I was so frustrated I ask them to cancel my appointment and I left. Prior to that I called to work out a pharmacy refill but I had some additional questions so I had to call and talk to someone, which I dreaded. I did that and after I finished telling the receptionist what I needed she said "can you repeat that, I didn't hear a thing you said". I said "what did you just say". She said I didn't hear a thing you said cause someone walked in and was making noise. I don't know if customer service should be an expectation or we should be luck to get it. I do have to say that I have been very happy with most all of the Providence services. Wish Dr. Young worked at a difference office, I hate having to change doctors."
