"Amazing People and Service! Dr. Gard recently performed cataract surgery on both my eyes, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results or experience I had at the Hillsboro Eye Clinic. Dr. Gard's surgical skills are also highly regarded by both his and the OHSU Medical Center staff where the surgeries were performed. Dr. Gard obviously deeply cares about his patients and their outcomes. When one of my eyes acted up a bit after surgery, he saw me immediately and quickly solved the problem. Dr. Gard has a pleasantly robust, upbeat, and empathetic personality while consistently exhibiting calm patience with questions, concerns, and fears. He clearly communicates reasonable result expectations and explains the surgical process in understandable terms, and only to the extent you want. (He fully understands that some of us are a little freaked out at the idea of having our eyes cut.) The medical support staff at the Hillsboro Eye Clinic is equally professional and caring. In short, Dr. Gard and his medical staff are highly skilled and very nice people. My only regret is that I didn’t go in sooner while I was suffering with poor vision. The change is life altering in my case. I now have excellent, crystal clear vision without glasses or contacts after 65 years of wearing glasses!"
