"I had high expectations coming here because of the reputation of Jeff, but unfortunately it wasn’t how I had hoped. It was a very slow night and there were plenty of choices for seats, but we were not greeted or offered any service. The artichoke is cold and it was very weird. The drinks were good but nothing crazy. The vibes and atmosphere were great but the food and service did not match."
"Atmosphere should be its middle name. (Side point: playlist could not be beat. It should be published on Spotify under the bar name.) Left after happy hour...but came down later with a book -- because the music was that good. The cocktails were v. good. Whiskey sour turned out amazingly refreshing and delicious, and so well-balanced. It was an honest "Wow." Though they couldn't source the fresh oysters because of the weather -- there was an ice storm at play -- they did have mussels and clams that were delicious with the fresh chopped garlic and herbs. The broth was tart and savory in all the right ways: simply wonderful to the last drop. Fries were an extremely pleasant and generous portion. Hope they keep it that way. I was able to share with some new friends at the bar. The Dungeness crab toast was well-loaded with crab meat, and liked the brioches bread...but salty for my taste. Really loved the portion and price and taste of the deviled eggs. The ambience is great. Chairs are super comfortable without feeling claustrophobic. You can sit almost anywhere and have your own introvert time as well as enjoy the extrovert vibe. Locals are very friendly and one can make friends readily. Kind of great community building space. Outstanding bartender."
"Such a great spot! Not a huge food menu but a really good burger and some delicious Mussels! The cocktails from the great Jeffery Morgenthaler! The old fashioned is a killer and the 68 Olympic was so refreshing and gorgeous! *Update: Went back last night with a friend and as always it was such a treat. The service was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. The bartender even helped me discover a Bijou which was super tasty. They had a DJ and it was just a great spot to chat and catch up"
"Cool spot. Seating is tough, ingredient quality is top-notch. Order at the bar and seat yourself, make sure you get a clean table or you might get scolded by the staff. Dumpling Week 2024 dumpling was very good."
"Ok I am obsessed with this bar. I do love hotel bars, but this was awesome. HUGE space, super easy to get a table on a weeknight, gorgeous oval bar with built in fixtures. Super good food and perfect small bites menu. Best espresso martini I’ve ever had, all the drinks were awesome. Really cute space, delicious, just exactly what I want from a hotel bar. Fun, chill, moody, perfect."
