Reviews of Samaritan Pharmacy Corvallis
"Switched to Samaritan Pharmacy last month. They put in the mail, without tracking, 3 months supply of 4 different prescriptions, including a controlled substance. Put in a prepaid postage discounted plastic bag. When it didn't arrive it became my problem. I had to pay, again, to have the 3 non controlled meds replaced. I am expected to do without the controlled medication as those prescriptions cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. When picking up this prescription at ANY pharmacy, ID must be shown and signature is required but their pharmacist, Cory, defended their practice of mailing $600 worth of medications without any tracking or responsibility because it saves them money. In reality they profit if a prescription is lost or stolen because they profit when the prescription is replaced at full price and copay as it was the first time. They absorb non of the replacement costs or expenses."
"Recently changed to Samaritan pharmacy and I was expecting good service but instead it was Excellent. Professional service with kindness and efficiency in mind. Visited on a Saturday morning and parking was plentiful. Submitted a prescription and pharmacist said 10 to 15 minutes. I chose to wait in my car and within minutes at least 6 cars pulled up and left with prescriptions and mine was ready in 15 minutes."
"Hands down the worst pharmacy we have ever had to work with. They make the process of filling a prescription so hard. Our son's seizure medication was out of refills and I selected the option to call our doctor. We assumed it would be handled (our mistake) and went to get the medication, nope. They had called but never heard back apparently and didn't feel the need to tell us so that we could try ourselves. Also, maybe its not common practice and we just got lucky, but EVERY OTHER pharmacy we've used (and it's been a few, my infant son has epilepsy and has been on medications that have to be processed a special way), they've all called us when a prescription is ready, like I said, maybe we just had really good pharmacies in the past. The people I have dealt with at Samaritan are not very pleasant either. We go there because of insurance and it's the least expensive way for us to get our son's medications. I'm willing to pay a little extra for a pharmacy that cares."
"Staff made the process ridiculous. My daughter had surgery at Good Samaritan so we decided to make the process easier we would fill her prescription here. We had them fax it then call to confirm it was received so we could just stop in and pick it up on the way out. Obviously with a 10 year old just out of surgery we’d want to just grab and go. I walk in and the staff says they never received the fax, even after I said I heard the nurse call and confirm they just stood there trying to deny getting it. Turns out they just didn’t start it. 45 minutes later and my daughter is sitting in the car waiting, in pain and uncomfortable... because they started the process I couldn’t move the Rx. GO TO WALMART! They have always gone above and beyond to take care of us and are so on top of things. Most Importantly when something did go wrong before they didn’t stand and try to deflect blame, they apologized and spent that energy making it right."
"I have used this pharmacy a hand full of times and have consistent service. They tell me the expected wait time and it usually takes a little less time. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. They consistently tell me about the prescription and ask what questions I have about it as well. When I do have questions they knew the answers. This location is conveniently located near the hospital and some of their clinics too."
