"This place has gone down hill, from Jackie the manager being incredibly impatient and condescending, to the facilities being old and not taken care of. How this place has lasted so long, I'll never understand"
"We go to this gym every time we visit Lincoln city and the owner, Robert, always welcomes us and remembers us no matter how long it’s been. Great gym. Very clean. Highly recommend!"
"Robert owner is very weird and does not return calls. I have left many messages for weeks and no returned call. Met with owner and was very unhelpful. His dog would not leave me alone and as I have allergies this was not cool. I do not like animals around when I am working out. Hope you can get a returned call."
"Ok gym not ok ownership. I was having a hard time finding a solid 24 hour gym in the area. Friend of mine told me to look up Taft in Lincoln city. I went in for a day pass. Place was very quiet. A bit small but still good variety of equipment. I went in to workout upstairs. I started hitting the punching bag up there and the owner came up fuming telling me I wasn't allowed to be up there unless it was for class. I apologized, told him I didn't realize that was a rule so went downstairs to use the other punching bag. I started doing work and the owner rudely interrupted me telling me I was being too loud even though there was maybe one other person in the gym and they seemed unbothered. I decided to hit the weights but couldn't help but notice the owner was eyeballing me much of the time I was there. Not sure if it had anything to do with me being loud or because I'm black but I just didn't pay any mind to it. As I finished up the owner pointed to his mural on the wall. He asked me for some random reason if I disagreed with any of it. I noticed the sign he was pointing to said "Blue Lives Matter". I told him, as a black man I personally have a hard time with police because I feel like they might target people like me because of my skin color but that everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt and I would never say they're all bad. He then laughed at me, told me I wouldn't fit in well with the community and said it'd probably be best that I leave. So I left. Never had someone make such an issue about something. And I thought martial arts was all about respect."
"Went to this gym for two years and I think anyone thinking about going here should know something. He lets this guy live at his gym. Dude’s been literally living in parking lot for over a year and he will be in bathroom for hours! Guy drives a green van with surfboards on top. Made me feel really uncomfortable, so I told the owner and he pretty much just told me to deal with it. So, I left and now go to a gym where people are actually there to workout and not live! FYI if u sign up and have a problem it’s a year long membership. So I had to pay 250 bucks and I’m ok with that cuz I signed the contract."
