Reviews of Safeway Pharmacy
"If I could give a 0 star review I would. I went this morning to get my flu shot after making an appt and filling out the questionnaire ahead of time, stating I am immunocompromised as an organ transplant recipient. Due to this, I require the "high-dose" flu shot. When I stated this at check-in, the woman told me she didn't think my situation qualified, went to double check with the pharmacist-which was fine-I appreciate the double check, but then within ear shot, told her "this woman is being difficult" and came back confirming I couldn't have the high dose. This comment was completely unacceptable and unwarranted. I wouldn't call simply stating that I require the "high-dose" shot being difficult at all. I said, "Ok, I am not getting it then, thank you" and left. Your pharmacy needs to 1) learn appropriate customer interactions 2) have some kindness and decency toward customers 3) educate themselves on the needs of immunosuppressed patients, because transplant patients are in fact in need of the "high-dose" flu shot, even if they are under a certain age. I won't be using your pharmacy location again, but for other customers benefit, I hope some improvements are made."
"Do not use if you have time sensitive prescriptions. Mine is on auto refill and never gets filled on time. I have to wait several days after I run out every month for them to get it filled. I keep giving them more chances but will be transferring immediately."
"You guys need to fix your system... there should not be a charge for bags when using SNAP. The system still charged me for one, and when I told the employee it's supposed to be free, he just said "Oh I dunno." I know you guys don't train your employees on SNAP, at least you didn't when I worked for Safeway in 2016, but you should be training them on simple things like this. If I'm using SNAP it means I don't have money. C'mon."
"Without a doubt one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a Safeway. No need for the Pharmacist to be so rude but she was. I called in twice to check on my prescription and was told it wouldn’t be ready until after 5. This seemed excessive so I called in at 2:30 to see how much longer and it had been ready for awhile. Both times I called I there was an obvious bad attitude from the person answering. It made it easy to pick out who this was out of the three people because she continued to be rude when asking if I needed help. This is after I stood there for five minutes while the three people working made small talk about dancing with the stars."
"I've been using this pharmacy for years and have always received good to great service. A couple of the pharmacists there know that one of my prescriptions is paid for through a special program, so I don't have to worry about calling to not bill it through insurance every month like other pharmacies, which is a nice relief. To the person complaining about their half hour lunch and no sign of up... I'm sure it was a fluke. I've also never had anyone there be rude to me, so the variable there is you guys. I highly recommend this pharmacy as long as you're not a rude p***k, because they work their butts off there and don't deserve that kind of treatment."
