"I never have given reviews and have traveled around the states for years buttt I would never recommend The Red Apple to anyone. We were just passing thru and this was the first place we saw. The room was way over priced @ $150 The bed was ancient and very uncomfortable and was supposed to be a queen size but I don’t believe it It was more of a double. The floor was dirty and it was dark in the room even with the 3 light fixtures. The only positive was the sheets were soft. Everything was mismatched and just horrible for the price."
"Just a stop by not a stay this time to say hello to the wonderful couple that my late husband and I enjoyed through several years. They were always so accomidating when we spent over nights there. Place always clean and near little helpful grocery stores and park to walk our dog. They always allowed our friendly Pittie dog "Bell" with an open heart."
"Very helpful and kind management. We were passing through on a road trip and needed a last-minute place to stay. This place was great for us! Room was clean and comfortable."
"Kitch and Grandma cute. The proprietors were adorable. The whole thing looked as though your grandma found out you were coming, bought an old motel, and raided her attic for all her old ‘nicest things’ even though they didn’t match. The price was $30 less than the big chain, and comparable to the Motel 6 that was more than an hour away. Many of the items in the room looked handmade, especially the curtains and maybe the bedding (although the bedspread was left over from the old motel). There were different curtains in every room, and they all looked handmade. The room smelled musty and like there were smoking rooms nearby, but was very clean in an old room way. The bed was the old boxspring type, but the sheets and soft blankets were comfortable. I slept well. This was a last minute find on a Monday night after 9:00. If I had planned a little better We could have stayed in a beachfront hotel in Rockaway beach for $115, sigh."
