"It's gone a bit down hill since my last stay. They don't bother to really try with avoiding making things people can't eat(allergies to certain food) there's always something someone can't eat and the alternative is a pb&j or something like that."
"They punish hardworking people by refusing them scraps for dinner after a long and hard work day. Meanwhile, the lazy bunch that stares at the wall all say get all the benefits of staying here. Even extra special treatment to verbally abusive people. All the hardworking volunteers and guests are just mistreated all day every day. The volunteers work 40+ hours per week to not get recognized and trashed for all the hard work they do. The current manager will whine about how you are breaking “policy” without any concrete evidence or even examples of how. She refuses to let nonviolent people in under the cold weather policy. She straight-up demands for a single lady to be on prescribed drugs to stay there. Must prove all medical/mental health personal information in 30-degree weather on Black Friday at 7:30. they look down on moms with special-needs kids too. They have a partially deaf mom. And they demanded to know whether or not her hearing aids were actually prescribed by a doctor and insinuated that she was faking. She has all the medical information in order to prove it, and she gave that to them, and they said that it wasn’t enough that they didn’t believe that she actually had hearing loss."
"Called inquiring about just a shower or if they knew of a place. The woman berated me for being new to the area. It seemed this heartless woman thought it was funny. That's what I get for asking for help and a little human decency."
"The manager has went on vacation for a week and left the shelter to fend for its self and the heater at 80° in 88° weather outside. In sleeping quarters it's above 80° unsleepable!"
