"After attending Mt Angel Oktoberfest for the first time, I can see how it is one of the most popular in America. It offers so many different bands, food, beer and is very well-organized. The festival has an authentic German Oktoberfest feel, I really like how each time you buy food here you're supporting a non-profit organization that is running the booth. I felt really safe here with a lot of security and police presence, which with well attended this festival is, I appreciated it. I look forward to coming back next year!"
"Good beer, good food, and a lot of fun to be had. The live music was fantastic and I can't wait for next year."
"Great food, great beer, great little town. Mt angel sausage company had some extremely delicious food. Was hoping to see some more vendors selling ethnic Bavarian souvenirs. Live music was awesome. This year I purchased tickets to the tents, and it decidedly wasn't worth it. The event is free to walk into and enjoy, and you can buy tickets to a couple special tent areas. They were completely packed with people , and the only bonus they get you is a little live music. Will skip buying tickets in the future."
"We had lots of fun as a family! We hope to be able to come back next year. Have fun and dress up or show up like us and buy your festive attire there. Very crowded if you wanted to bring a stroller or wagon but we did ok with ours. There is free street parking with a few blocks walking."
"This is a worthwhile experience. The town is adorable and its charming architecture is replicated in the many food stands that decorated the streets. You should expect a big crowd, its a popular event. Parking can be scarce, I recommend trying to find parking at least 2 blocks away to avoid paying for parking and avoiding outgoing traffic when you depart. There are free tents you can enter but they don't provide live entertainment and may have a limited selection of beers. I paid $20 for their pass and entered all venues that my wristband could get me into and many had beers that weren't available at other stands, which makes touring around rewarding in its own right."
