"It's not my favorite place to stay. I was upset that Worldmark, without my knowledge or consent, charged me 114.00 for taxes after I had already prepaid for my stay. When I asked why they needed my card, he said just for incidentals. When I saw the charges, I asked what that was for, and they said it was for taxes. Just know that it's possible that people do throw things off the balcony. I was walking outside world mark. And someone on the higher balcony threw something off of the balcony and hit me in the head, and it hurt. There was a 3 to four-year-old sitting in the hot tub for quite some time alone without any supervision so when we got out, I said something to a staff member inside world mark. They nicely said not my problem. I will say I did the time share presentation there. And it was not high pressure. So that was nice. There is a lot to do here if you have kids. But out of all the places I have stayed in Oregon, this wouldn't be my first choice."
"As an owner, I expect a lot from the Signature location. We checked in at 5:30. The room was in a far corner of the hotel, near an unfunctional elevator. I'm traveling with a handicapped individual. So I was vocal. Normal people shouldn't have to hike that far. It would be good if the flustered desk clerk said there were no other deluxe rooms available, or at least showed me on the map where I could expect to trek. Pretty sure the room I had to wait 30 more minutes for wasn't the deluxe quality I paid for. It was still an incredible hike from the handicap parking to the room. Better to let my family take the elevator across the hall, and pick them up in the lobby. (Which is am ordeal in the sleet and rain.) Except that elevator failed on our second day! As we were eating dinner waiting for our room, i got the call that I wasn't given my parking pass. I needed to stop at the desk. They REQUIRED me, the owner to get it... great ploy for the SALESPITCH. As with other Wyndham resorts, I was begged to attend an "informational" meeting. Those 30 minute sessions have turned into uncomfortable 3 HOUR ordeals in previous trips. I refuse to comply, and the salespeople refuse to understand NO. That spoils my trip, every time. This was no different. We celebrated a birthday. The BBQ lighter was out of fuel, and we had to beg for a lighter to torch the birthday candles."
"Beautifully positioned beach front hotel, steps away from the ocean. The room was a bit dated, but it was cozy, and the beds, including the Murphy Bed, were very comfortable. The room was clean and stocked with essentials needed for an extended stay. The fireplace in the living room was a nice touch, I just wished it was not on a timer....but I get why it was. The only complaint was that the front desk staff were very insistent on convincing me to attend their timeshare morning meeting. Every time I tried to express my disinterest, it was thwarted, and another angle was spewed to try and convince me otherwise. No means no! Geesh! I was there for just one night and wanted to enjoy my stay without listening to someone yap about how I should spend more of my money. No, thank you."
"It's nice but everything is dated. They need to update their electronics. The pool closes at a reasonable time. 10. The game room however closes at the same time. I think it should be open at least till midnight."
"Although we haven’t completed our stay yet, ( 3 days to go) I will say that we are not very impressed with the hotel “ resort “. It Feels dated, and was hoping for a more luxurious experience. We also didn’t like the feeling of being pressured to attend a “ timeshare …. Gold Crown Experience “ during checking in. We already have not had a great experience with our current timeshare and don’t want to sit through any more “ great promises “. We’ll see if my review will improve by the end of our stay….. but I don’t have much confidence in that."
