"Was really saddened by the treatment my partner and I received at this store by the older woman with gray hair and glasses who works behind the counter. We do not look like most of the locals or tourists who come in and she was clearly judging us. She watched me with a scowl and hawk eye when I was looking at earrings as my partner was purchasing a $15 dollar stuffed whale. In addition to this, she ID'd my partner after he handed her his debit card (not the biggest deal, but kind of weird). At the end of the transaction she went to put the whale in a plastic bag, to which we said it was ok, we don't need a plastic bag. She then went on to make several snarky comments about how it already exists and isn't saving the environment for us not to use it, and that other stores would accuse us of shoplifting if the whale wasn't in a bag. We are kind, respectful, and tolerant people who do not deserve this kind of judgement and rude behavior. I hope that this woman can find peace in her heart, and treat every patron of the shop equally. Instead of this store, I would recommend the taffy shop a few doors down, where the person working was very friendly and kind, and sells lots of yummy treats!"
