Unfortunately my dad, Steve Meier, passed away in March at age 65 in his sleep. I'm still heartbroken as he was my best friend and molded me to be the man I am today. SteveO at Alliance was able to help me get the tattoo that I needed but never wanted. I've been getting tattoos for the last two decades, in several countries around the world and I was so impressed with Alliance. Gage was finishing a tattoo next to us and the attention to detail was phenomenal. Every aspect of customer service is met here in regards to tattooing. Thank you guys and I'll be back."

He was always at the shop working on my design when I arrived for my appointment. The placement is top notch. He was generous in explaining some of the technical aspects of tattooing. Alliance Tattoo Shop takes your hand and walks you through this entire process with grace, ease, and style. My artist was Curtis Duke. This was both my first time working with him, as well as my first large piece. I was nervous, to say the least. After bumping elbows, the nerves started easing and within five minutes, I knew I had foud the right artist. It was like meeting a long lost brother! We laughed, I cried (from happiness), and we both came out the other side smiling. Not only did he have zero ego when we didn’t use his first design, but instead, sat down and patiently worked with me until we came up with the perfect piece. He said something like, “I would rather us sit down and design all day today, and tattoo another day, than you get the wrong tattoo.” That was exactly what I needed to hear to breathe a huge sigh of relief. Rare is it, when empathy and patience is coupled with incredible talent, and Curtis is one of those special humans that has both. His work speaks for itself. He spent hours on single details, coming back to a section repeatedly until it was perfect. This tattoo was meant to be an empowerment piece for me and the way he was able to capture that with ink was incredible. I got choked up when, after hours, I finally started to see the details come together. I full blown lost it when I looked in the mirror at the finished piece. I also must mention the other artists at Alliance. They are the just best people. Miss Jess is the heart and cheer of the shop:) She was so sweet and welcoming, even asking if I would like any snacks from a store run she was going on. Mr. Steve’s cool points were confirmed when he came out of the break room drinking a Capri Sun. Josh and Gage meanwhile doing the most dramatic, beautiful original pieces you’ve ever seen. The entire shop (patrons included) were engaging, friendly, and FUN. The vibe here was done right. Everything from cleanliness to a gorgeous, warm aesthetic and downright good-hearted, down-to-earth people. I could not recommend Curtis and this shop more; Whether it is your first tattoo or your fiftieth, this shop is the one to check out. It’s brand-spankin new, so get in while you can- I guarantee spots are going to be harder to come by when word gets out. I booked my next appointment before I left the building!
