"If I could give negative stars to this salon I would. Came in for a scheduled blowout, and left in tears after having the most traumatic experience. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, but especially not to people of color. Every single stylist at this salon should be ashamed of themselves for being a bystander as I dealt with racial microagressions. The minute I sit in the chair to have my hair washed, I’m immediately told “you have SO MUCH hair.” I didn’t think anything of it, as I do have long, thick hair. Very quickly the stylist decided she needed someone else to help out with my hair in order to get it done within the 30 minute appointment slot, so the manager stepped in. Again, I didn’t think anything of it. And to be clear, there is no option on their website to book a blowout based on hair type/length/etc., so there was no reason for them to make me feel as if I were inconveniencing them with my hair type. They let me know they wouldn’t be able to style my hair and could only blow dry it, yet I still got charged the full price of the service (blow dry + style). As I sat there getting my hair done, I was burned multiple times at the scalp with the blow dryer. And despite flinching so hard each time, there was no reaction or apology from either stylist. I had both stylists tugging my hair in every direction you can imagine. I was genuinely concerned my hair was going to be ripped out. At one point, a group of stylists literally walked over to my chair and stood there, watching me get my hair done as if they had never seen anyone with hair before. I was legitimately shocked after hearing the manager say to her co workers “imagine if i gave you this client hahaha,” to which they responded with “oh my gosh please no I would never want that.” Another stylist had the audacity to ask me how my parents even handled my hair when I was a child, as if my hair were that unmanageable. I lost count of how many times I heard “you have SO much hair” in my 30 minutes at this salon. I finally confronted one of the stylists and asked her why she kept making comments about my hair and questioned whether the salon has ANY non-white clients. Because for them to be acting like my hair was such an inconvenience for them when they are literally HAIR STYLISTS, was nothing but a form of microagression. The seemingly unharmful “compliments” they continued spewing did nothing but make me feel uncomfortable to the point of tears. Unsurprisingly, it was one of the worst blowouts I’ve ever received. I always appreciate getting my hair done and generally walk out feeling great about myself. But this salon had me feeling the complete opposite. I’m a very non confrontational person so I didn’t speak up during my experience but I regret it immensely. I wish I had gotten up from that chair and walked out the minute I sat down. Absolute soul-less manager/owner and terribly rude stylists"
"Awful experience, waisted 60 bucks to have all of my hair cut off when I asked for a trim. Then salon refused to fix the mistake made on my curtain bangs. It took me a while to write this review because the whole situation made me so uncomfortable. The bad hair cut experience was one thing but I couldn't handle the sub par customer service after the fact. I scheduled a haircut appointment for the first time in 7 years at this salon. I obviously don't frequent salons so I selected a level 1 stylist assuming she could do a trim and curtain bangs. Surely they learned that in beauty school. Guess not. The girl was very sweet and I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but she just stood there with my hair in her hands refusing to cut anything. She had to wait 5 minutes between moving the shears to ask her coworker what to do. The whole process took almost 2 hours. The coworker came over and did one side of my bangs.. that side looked great. The other side looked like a kindergartner cut my hair. On top of that my hair was down to my butt and when I left it was at chest height... I asked for a trim. She totally butchered my hair. I've hated it and felt so old ever since. I want my pretty hair back."
"This was my 3rd visit to Bouffant and I left thrilled with the final look yet again! The people, service, and price can't be beat! It is clear all of their stylists are passionate and love what they do. Brittany Baker did an excellent job this last time around. She brought my hair vision to life with little direction from me. She exceeded all my expectations, 10/10! I will definitely be back and plan to book with Brittany!"
"I am unfortunately writing a negative review about a bad highlight job. The stylist was very nice but disappointingly my hair did not turn out as expected. I ended up with large dark sections and unevenness. When I sent the pictures to the owners their response was shocking. I did not get a “Sorry you are unhappy, how can we make this right”? Instead they said they were going to find out what service I had done. They gave no response to the pictures I sent and were immediately on the defense, they showed no empathy for the botched job even after seeing the pictures. I politely asked for a refund but they were quick to reply “We do not give refunds”. Bottom line the owners are more concerned with profit than customer satisfaction. This is a very disappointing outcome considering I spent 200 dollars there just for highlights. I recommend going somewhere else where customer satisfaction is a top priority not profit."
