"I have been going to Happy Nails for ~18yrs. That was when I started to pamper myself. Lucky for me I found a person that is very detailed with precision, honest and takes pride in her work. So it's my one-stop for all -- mani/pedi, wax and once in a while, lash extensions! I have tried other places via Groupon -- Hillsboro, Beaverton & Portland for all the services and I always come back to Happy Nails. At times she has had to fix or redo from services I received using Groupon. A++++ service by Lien"
"Setup an appointment for 11am for my wife. At 10:24am the day of she got a call asking to reschedule to 1pm that day. My wife arrived at 12:55pm only to be told she would have to wait until 1:30 and then after talking with another customer found out that this happens often and infact she was there for a 1:30 appointment. Very disrespectful from start to finish!!!!!"
"The boss there does a great job on following thru exactly how I want my nails to be done! What a fun, summer, springy-style of nail design! She does hybrid eye lashes on Asian eyes very well! I'm impressed with her nail skill as well! Will come here again!"
"I was really excited to try out this salon, they had good Google reviews and I was extremely displeased prior to leaving… but chipping on the 2nd day is the where I draw the line. I now have to have my original salon completely redo my pedicure (the 1st person to help me had no clue what she was doing) I have asked this salon for a refund and do not recommend spending your time or money here!"
"In response to Nancy who was present for only a portion of this interaction, I can see why you thought I was being rude but if you were there from the beginning you would have had a different perspective. I was nothing but respectful to the woman, there was no reason for me not to be. Things started to shift after she became upset and took my picture. Be careful about speaking on things you did not experience first hand, especially when your lens and way you are perceived is completely different than mine. Right off the bat she expected me to act a certain way & treated me as if I was eventually going to criminalize her establishment. This is the reality of being a black woman in the Pacific Northwest. The only reason I didn’t leave was because I was still going to respect the time she spent. You weren’t the only one “uncomfortable” but you certainly were the only one being treated with respect. ———— Review: This was the worst nail experience i've ever had in my life. Came in to get dipping powder done and left being completely harassed by the owner who took my picture without my consent and forcefully finished my nails after I expressed dissatisfaction with her work. When she started on my nails, I had dipping powder already on so she began by taking them off. Her process of taking them off included using the nail drill to break them down until they were gone, no nail polish remover, nothing. I was thrown off my that and my nails were burning from the power of the machine, but I trusted her as she assured me that she had 16 years of experience. About one hour into my visit, she now began to file my nails. I let her know that i wanted to keep the length and wanted a rounded square shape, she tried her best to get there but ended up making my nails shorter. It seemed there was a misunderstanding and she was confused by my request so I told her that it was fine because at that point there was no going back. This is always the trickiest part with nail artists, trying to communicate nail shape/length/etc so I decided to leave it alone because she was becoming frustrated. Once she saw that I was unhappy with my nail length and shape, her entire demeanor changed. She began rolling her eyes with her brush of nail polish she did, and forcefully putting my nails in the LED light. At this point I was extremely unhappy, began to cry and told her I did not want to continue with the service. She then threatened to call 911 if I left without paying. I left her finish my nails and paid her for her time because I was just eager to leave this experience at this point. As she was finishing up, she pulled out her phone and took pictures of me right in front of my face. When I asked her why she was taking pictures, she told me that she could take pictures of anyone if she wanted. I would never wish such an unpleasant and horrifying experience on anyone and have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism in my life. Ms Lin may have a few skills due to her years of experience but she has an F in customer service and overall character. Her pride in her work causes her to disrespect customers when she feels they do not like her services. I am currently in the process of filing a complaint about my picture being taken against my will. I hope that no one has to through this as well."
