The Chocolate Frog

"The fudge is amazing. My families favorite fudge flavors are salted caramel milk chocolate, dark chocolate bourbon, milk chocolate peanut butter, and a mint one that tastes similar to an Andes mint but so much better. Tonight we bought 3 pieces of fudge, sea foam chocolate chunk (made with spun molasses)and a butter toffee - our total was $30."

"This place is AMAZING!! We were on vacation, and we swung by on the way down to Florence, and on the way back home. We have many chocolate stores in Portland, but The Chocolate Frog has them beat! The store itself is super aesthetically pleasing. There are local artisan works for sale all along the shelves that wrap around the inside of the store. They made good use of the limited space they have. The chocolates themselves are delicious, too! Low wax content, high quality...(I used to work at a chocolate store when I was in college. They made us sample all of the products so we could describe them to customers. That made me spoiled, causing me to set the bar for chocolates pretty high) So knowing this, make sure you don't leave them in a hot car, or you will be disappointed later on. The fudge is great too, although my palate for that particular confection is less refined. They have these adorable chocolate frogs eating a gummy worm. And some w/out worms. The chocolate frogs from bum to snout are exactly 3". Both times we went, the cashiers asked to see my frog when I mentioned I had one....and seemed genuinely pleased. Great product, great service, and happy customers. All a great recipe for the success of the store."

"This is a delightful chocolate shop in Lincoln City. I thought the name of the store referred to the tasty confections children ate in the famous series of books, but alas, copy right prevents any reference to they who shall not be named. However, there are goodies galore in this wonderful shop. Candy cigarettes, licorice gum, gum balls, and, of course, chocolate frogs. Exiting the parking lot can be challenging, especially if you are going north and have overloaded on sugar. The chocolate frogs come in a dozen different flavors, so be sure to try several."

"This place is so cute! It's a little cozy, but customers and employees were respectful of social distancing and mask wearing. Employees were helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I felt very welcomed. It was a wonderful first stop! Oh! And let's not forget the chocolate. Fudge, truffles, brittles, and more made on site with rich swiss chocolate... It is some of the best I've ever had! Edit: My friends and I come down to Lincoln City once a year for a Mom's weekend and stopping here is rapidly becoming an integral part of our tradition!"
