"I found a very specific (but not expensive) cord I needed for an electronic project. I was told I couldn't buy it from the older lady at the counter because it didn't have a tag. She also refused to put a tag on it or offer a price. I would have gladly found a $1 tag in the loose bin of unsorted, unlabeled cords, or just paid the dollar it was worth, assuming it worked at all."
"Been in there 3 different times. Each time the "platnum blond" senior citizen was as rude as rude can get. St.Vincent either needs to hire someone else to work the counter, or SOMEONE needs to SERIOUSLY work on their people skills. First, she was rude to the person ahead of me, telling him "why don't you just leave". I had an armload of stuff, asked ONE QUESTION, and her attitude and demeanor made me put it all back. I will not help perpetuate rudeness or ignorance by shopping there again. Not a very "Christian" attitude if you ask me. Also today, (10/11/23) it smelled so strongly of vomit in there (right in her vicinity) it was litterally gagging me. The fact that she didn't seem to notice was very strange."
"This is my favorite thrift store by far. We donate all our grandsons outgrown clothing and toys to them as well as unused household items. Just make sure the “donations accepted “ sign is out front before bothering to drive around back. I also occasionally drop off a bag of food for the pantry in the back and was rather shocked and a bit offended when a volunteer asked me if all the food was within sell by dates. Lol! Didn’t realize folks cleaned out their cupboards and donated expired food. Don’t be that douchbag! I shop there as well. The prices have remained fair, yes they have gone up a wee bit, but far less than the other places around the county. I get a lot of second hand vintage clothing there. The staff is always kindly to me. That’s what makes it one of my favorite places to shop in Sutherlin and I know that if I ever fell on a rough patch I would be treated with compassion."
"I Will always support this second hand store. Their prices are so affordable, they are not out to rip people off like goodwill and sunrise ! I really wish people would donate to them rather than the others mentioned. I have never had an issue going here, staff has always been super nice, the store has always been clean. I'd like to thank who ever runs this place for providing affordable used items for our community, especially the baby/toddler and kids items. And thanks to the people who donate there. ♡"
"This was our first time donating to them and it will be the last: I called and asked if they accepted cribs (It is a $500 list price convertible crib that is also a full sized bed); Borrowed a truck and drove it in to donate and when I got there they said "no we won't accept it"! In addition they rejected a rocking chair which worked because the seat was faded. Unprofessional and picky on what they accept. Maybe it is a good place to shop, but don't bother donating. Go to Salvation Army in Roseburg instead."
