"Sterile atmosphere, but hours that come in handy when needing night-time study spots!"
"Came Into to look at vinyl and buy a magazine. I believe the British gentleman's name was Mike. He was very helpful, and quote obviously knowledgeable and passionate about music. Nicest selection of vinyl I have ever seen at a Barnes and Noble's. Very cool."
"It's like they had no idea what to do. I showed them a coupon that the book store gives for 1 dollar off on a cookie if you buy a large drink. They looked at me like if I gave them something they had zero idea what to do with, stared at the screen for like 10 minutes then I gave up and told them to just give me a drink. I had to babysit the person every step. I asked for light ice and the guy put the biggest cup of ice, forgot completely to put the strawberries in the pink drink which is a very easy drink to make. Between the coupon and all of the attempts to make a pink drink it took forever while I had to look after my kids and tell them that they couldn't even get their coupon cookie . Great! Will obviously go to the other Starbucks next time."
"We bought a pre-packaged brownie at the cafe that made my partner anaphylactic due to a peanut allergy and almost KILLED them. The package’s allergy information was covered with a date sticker placed by the cafe workers, so we thought nothing of the brownie at the time, until I noticed my partner having an allergic reaction, then peeled back the cafe-placed sticker to discover that there was a cross-contamination of nuts. After getting treated at the hospital, we went back the next day to have a calm, civil discussion with the cafe workers about how they should move their date stickers to a different part of the packages so that the allergy information isn’t hidden. The person in charge (Carly) rudely dismissed our words, told us to just ask them for the allergy information, told us that the stickers don’t need to be moved, and refused to listen to us. This is unacceptable. My partner could have died because of this “out of sight, out of mind” moment that could have easily been prevented by NOT COVERING YOUR ALLERGY LABELS! And the audacity and complete lack of compassion or care from Carly has made us feel as though we are no longer safe at the cafe, and we will never do business with the cafe for as long as Carly continues to work there."
